Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Car I've bought privately not taxed

Bought a car privately that tax had expired on.

What's the story if i'm pulled up on it while waiting for the tax to come through.

I'd imagine guards would be understanding enough?

How much would the fine be if they weren't?

How long is the tax expired? Technically you are not allowed to drive the car while it is not taxed but in reality the Gardai uses a bit of common sense around change of ownership. If it hasn't been taxed in more than 2 months though it could mean they impound it if they see fit.
