Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm sure the dressing rooms in Lansdowne Road are fairly well insured. wink.png

What do you expect? They're from an island of convicts

I know you meant that as a joke...but the reality is that many of those so-called convicts were actually the Irish poor, sent to Australia for such hideous crimes as stealing a bit of bread during the potato famine...

Quite possibly. The Aussie constitution still formally offers us a place at their table as the 8th state...

I'm sure you are all familiar with the story of the guy applying for an Australian residence permit and work visa and was asked if he had a criminal record.

To which his reply was that he didn't think you still needed one....

So now we know that Murray has "delayed concussion" from the Australia game.

Was it really delayed though? Should he have been allowed back on?

He was gone for four minutes. How any doctor could deduce that a player is not concussed in such a short period of time is beyond me.

    A bit worrying tbh.

We don't know. The people best qualified to answer that are the people you seem to be doubting. :)

Would a 10 minute, or 20 minute examination be that much more useful? Unless a rule is introduced: "any head-knock must result in the player being permanently substituted" I'm not sure what more they can do?

Apologies, deleted my earlier post because I figured the only response possible was 'it's the doctor's call" and obviously none of us have a clue what went on.

I just wonder if he'd had another five minutes to examine Murray, or if the game hadn't been so tight...

're the concussion thing, didn't the Irish doctor who Was some sort of adviser to IRB resign due to their implementation of the concussion bin because the time allocated was not based on any medical research or best lractise? I may have the details awry but pretty sure the medical authorities have said that ten minutes is insufficient.
