Their back line in possession is sooooo flat.

WE need to blitz it every time

What? Thats the first time they burst through the midfield

What? The Aussie midfielders are able to take the contact on their terms. Its not the first time thy've created space in midfield.

Could be shouts for a penalty try there.

With pen advantage that was worth the kick.

Zebo v Folau... Will only ever go one way in the air.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,805 ✭✭✭Swan Curry

Only caught the last 5 minutes. Toner needs to up his game as he has been central to the last 10 points conceded.

    It's not looking great.

    lol

    I bet you're delighted.

The ref has been extremely poor. Aussies getting the decisions that matter

Aussies are out thinking Ireland on the field in the first half

Knew the penalty was coming, it was worth a go. If it had been measured right, you'd expect Zebo to get it.

    20-20. Mad half.

I think he's blind more than biased

The ref isn't doing Ireland a whole lot of favours, Folau deliberate knock on and nothing!

Rodney Ah You to come in and win the game

Never a penalty try, he was trying to catch it. If you think he wasn't then watch some NRL.

great game but its a shame the ref is having such a massive impact

Quite an enjoyable 40 mins of Rugby :pac:

Folau made no attempt to catch that ball. Surely the ref should've at least looked at a replay.

In fairness, if any player in rugby had a chance of catching that, it would be Folau.

It's exciting but some of the defending is appalling. The skill levels of the Australians is amazing.

Well that was a fúcking mental half of rugby. I'm wondering did we actually have a gameplan going into this becvause we seemed to be all over the place once the Aussies started coming at us. Still, we're back in it and settled a bit so let's see what magic Joe can work now at half time

Think the players got caught up in the openness of the match tbh.

He's under no obligation to use two. He was close to catching it with one hand anyway. Not even close to being a penalty.

Zebo's attempted off load that lead to Australias first try is something I think is different from the SA game. We didnt off load against SA hence no chance for SA to counter. We did here and Australia score a try and turn the game.

    We need to tighten up.

Are they allowed to call for forward passes on TMO decisions?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Well that was interesting. Belter of a start from us but awful 15 minute period.

Really need to tighten up in defence and make our tackles. Australia backs are causing plenty of problems so need to stop them as soon as possible.

    Big half ahead.

When you watch it in slow mo he almost has it with the one hand.

I actually think Folau did attempt to catch it with one hand... still in real time, it looked like he palmed it forward and could very easily have been a yellow card.
