It's just because the three stripes are a relatively faint silver, rather than the usual black.

The three stripes are relatively disguised on a few of this season's shirts, such as the Milan home (dark grey on black) and Bayern home (maroon on red).

Jesus thats woeful! The pink FA Cup ball this year was bad but thats a whole new level of shocking. Whats wrong with a white ball for autumn and late spring summer and a yellow/orange ball for winter/early spring like they had previously

I struggle to figure out why they even use the yellow ball. It's not like the pitches are covered in snow every winter. The use of them in Spain is even more baffling.

Marketing. That's all it is, same way Nike keep bringing out rank looking colourful boots and making all their pros wear the same ones...that way you can't not notice them.
