Hi all. For some reason I can't seem to open sites starting with https on my computer. First noticed it when trying to book an NCT. I could view the main site and most pages but when I clicked on the link to book a test (starts with https://) I got an "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message. Same issue when trying to renew my insurance trying to access sites with https. I'm using IE9 with Vista and have the same problem if I try Firefox and makes no difference via LAN or WiFi. I can't even log in to Boards.ie using my computer. I recently switched my home broadband to Vodafone but that's hardly the cause is it??

Check the system time and date as well, certainly used to create issues with security certificates

I have a Win 7 machine, with a similar problem, But Chrome works perfectly.
IE responds almost instantly with the fail message, so you know it has some internal problem.

Updated IE to ver9, and even ver10, still the same.

I tried installing and running ccleaner but still no good.
The system time and date are OK.
Finally installed Chrome and can now access the https sites again.
Have no idea what has stopped IE9 and Firefox from doing so as I'm sure I had no issue in the past.
