Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

15k is what toyota Ireland recommend anyway.

All manufacturers try to show cost of ownership to be lower by having extended service interval.
Get away with it when car is newer but as they age not advisable

do oil changes between 10 and 15 k it keep sludge away and better for turbo.

If you want the car to last change the oil and filter every 5k or once a year if you don't do that mileage.

    Thanks folks

car was bought a couple of months ago, & presently over 210K on clock

we put 16k on it and it was serviced by the seller

I was just curious 'cos the same mechanic services a jeep and 2 other family member cars as well and always puts a 15k reminder sticker on

I'll mention it to him when I see him

    Every 5k?

    Waste of time/money.

    As above, 5K is ridiculous.

15,000km is the correct interval for that car.

just curious, is there a time interval on that as well, presuming 12 mths?

Yes, 15 000 km or 12 months, whichever's earlier. And make sure correct oil's used.

    According to manual:

    - ACEA: B1; API: CF-4 or CF for engines without DPF

    - ACEA: C2 (preferred) or B1; API: CF-4 or CF for engines with DPF
