Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all.
Having a bit of a spell with apple and looking for some help.
I have an iPhone 5s and is perfect. All but the fact that the battery loses charge VERY fast.
I was into apple and they said after receiving a call that it needs to be dropped in for servicing
Apple contacted me then saying that there was liquid damage and are looking for 212€ plus vat to rectify. They sent me a picture zoomed in on a small tiny screw. It was signs of a speck of rust. tiny bit.
Im receiving a call tomorrow to discuss. Anyone have a similar issue. Any advice.

Well if the phone is water damaged you don't have any other option through Apple than to pay it. Their warranty doesn't cover water damage. However a rusty screw shouldn't be the decisive factor. There's a few water damage indicators inside the phone and they know from them if it's been in contact with water so maybe email or call and see what they say. Your only other option is an unofficial battery replacement. This will void your warranty however..

Just wondering, did you "drop off" the phone somewhere (as you wrote) or was it collected as per normal apple procedure. Basically I'm asking did you go through apple direct or somewhere else (like a phone shop)?
