We have a budget of approx EUR 500 for wedding invitations - approx 120 but we can't decide on what to go for. So much choice. Our current preference is for Letter Press stye - something crisp and clean with a small element of colour.
However, we are open to regular print. Any recommendations? Thx

    Try www.vistaprint.ie

Choose one of theirs, or upload your own design.

    Done under budget.

We got our on vistaprint, got 40 invites for just over €40 - and we got the highest quality paper they had.

One tip is to design your print, save it on the website and register as a customer. Then go away, ignore it for a few days and they will send you an email offering you 10% off your order - at least this is what happened for us! Keep an eye out for sales as well, we ordered during a flash sale and overall only paid half of the original quote.

€500 is a lot for invitations.

We paid €240 for 180 invites and 60 afters invites.

We're going with http://www.carboncopy.ie/wedding-scribblers/ for ours, it's €440 for 100 invites inc. RSVPS, 50 mass booklets, table plan, table names and a bespoke design. For us the invites/table plan/tables names are setting the whole theme so we were willing to spend on all these elements to have it exactly as we want it. We have received our invite sample and I can't wait to send them out :)

We used www.loveletters.ie based in Dublin. Simple elegant invitations, great service and reasonable.

For that budget, you should be able to get something bespoke and really creative. If you can afford it, don't just go for regular/ boring, as your invitation is the first thing your guests will see that sets the tone for your wedding. So letterpress, clean will show a nice, formal, classy wedding. Going fun and colourful will set the scene for a fun day, etc.

We got ours custom made by KatieKavPhotography and they were absolutely amazing, and really good value for what we got, as she also did our menus, favours and mass booklets. Definitely worth giving her a shout if you want something bespoke (or any other bespoke designers such as Design Our Day). Our guests are still talking about them months later, and we still see them on people's mantlepieces when we go into their houses which is a bit mad!

Yeah for that money you could hire a graphic designer who specialises in Wedding Invites to design yours bespoke and have them printed with envelopes etc all included :) Definitely worth looking into - some very talented people out there :)

Wow! :) I am sure you could do them for well cheaper that that but tis up to yerselfs. Hoping to order soon ones from either JJs house or Alexiexpress they have some really nice ones there, just the shipping time is the thing..

The word bespoke is starting to lose all meaning

Well I meant made to order so not sure what you're getting at.

We used little-letters.com she is based in monaghan and i think she sounds like what you're looking for. She was fairly reasonable and you can do the whole thing over the net. No harm in asking! What she made for us was totally custom, and exactly what we were looking for!! She's very talented.

Well I meant made to order so not sure what you're getting at.

It wasn't and at you at all, I just see this word so much now that I'm prepping for my own wedding.

Everything seems to be "bespoke", from pew ends to invitations to centre pieces.
It's a word being used in many cases to add €€€ to prices.

Oh I get ya now, I see what you mean and yes it does add a lot of money to anything related to a wedding. However, it does hold true in fairness, like some things I don't give a damn about so if it's the same as everyone else's it doesn't bother me. Invites are one thing I'm willing to pay for "bespoke"-ness though :) But yes, it's galling at times.

I spent ages looking at invites,, and I didn't like everywhere I went to,, Vistaprint and a few other places.. So I ended up making my own,, it cost 180 euro for 100 invites.. and everyone has commented about them saying they really liked them.. basically I bought a wedding template for Photoshop from Etsy for 5 dollars and just updated the text.

Sent the file to the local printers and ran off 100 invites and 100 rsvps, then bought the envelopes myself.. used fancy pearlesent card paper and heavy posh envelopes.. they turned out really well..

I am even going to print off my own menus on fancy paper for 55 euro,,

We went the home made/hand made route many years ago (well nine!)

daintree.ie for the paper and some samples and lantz for ribbons etc and them we went off and made something we were happy with and also something easily reproducible!

Can't remember the cost but it was reasonable enough

just got a sample of ours and was highly disappointed I must say. Was planning on doing them DIY and then changed and im like mmm you can so do them yourself.

It might be tricky to get 100 invitations in Letterpress in Ireland. US website Minted can do 100 for about €400 but if you can hold out until the dollar eases up a bit then you'll save even more! Order a sample for yourself - it's free!

Went with Vistaprint for ours as well - 50 invitations and 50 RSVP cards (we are inviting quite a few couples and families) cost us a total of around £70 after we got a last minute coupon code.

Not on the highstreet do some lovely letterpress invites, look for rebecca mc millian illustration on it. Or for something really different I've seen alice brazier do illustrated invites. If i'd have had the money that's what I'd have gone with!

I got mine from wedding favour invitations , they are based in Galway. I saw some that were being discontinued and ordered a sample and they match my colour scheme perfectly. Cheque book style with rsvp and envelopes, €190 for 85 invitations.

I'm getting my invitations from Deise Wedding Designs, I showed her a photo of what I want and she's making it exactly as I want. She's also doing mass booklets, save the dates, rsvps and a large table plan and 80 invitations for €380

    Anyone used weddingprint.ie??

Coming it at decent enough prices and quality looks ok without seeing a sample.

I got mine from Nowyouprintwedding.ie and was very happy with them. I got 100 square postcard style with envelopes and free delivery by courier for €80.

I got thank you cards in the same style with a photo of us afterwards for the same price
