Ok this is going to look like spam but I don't work for them, I am more of a satisfied customer.

Irish seed savers have native/traditional Irish plants that are self seeding so the seeds can be used to grow more the following year.

some of these species have been used for generations in irish conditions so would work in shtf situation.

I know I didn't want to be too spammy! I asked before I put it up, it is relevant to the forum and I figured it would be appropriate.

I am hoping to start some apple trees this year and see how I get on.

If you get a chance to go to one of their events or open days, I'd highly recommend it. I went to their apple day a few years ago and it was great. Apple tasting, tours of their orchards, talks. I really enjoyed it.

Any idea if seeds fall under restrictions on international sales and shipment?

In most cases no, you'd need to check specific countries just in case as some may have their own regulations. Within the EU there's no issue.

But that doesn't include "seed" potatoes which obviously aren't actual seeds.

Edit> Forgot you might need a Phytosanitary Certificate for seeds you export which I don't think is as difficult to get as it sounds. iirc it just means seeds come from an area with no disease problems?
