Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

1.4 01 Petrol VW Golf - fails on emissions

1.4 01 Petrol VW Golf - just failed the NCT for the 3rd time this evening.

The CO was 2.8. Had a new exhaust fitted (as it was leaking) which didn't improve the problem and was then told a new CAT would solve the problem but having re-tested only reduced the emissions to 1.7 - far above the limit of 0.3.

Is there any hope of reducing these so dramatically or am I wasting my time?

As above, post as much info on results as possible

Ok how does the car run in general, does it hesitate when accelerating? Its hard to diagnose without further tests, but I would be looking at fuel system for problems (injectors specifically) or a badly switching lambda sensor.

How much oil does it use.
