Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Crunch time. A draw is good enough for us to go through (depending on Bayern to beat CSKA and us to beat Roma in the last game), so I'm hoping for that.

Vital to have Lamps in this squad, he makes such a difference.

    Looking ominous for City already

Well this ought to quieten the Bayern fans! Lunatics! :pac:

An amateur tackle indeed. Clown. I still fancy bayern to come back and win.

Moronic from benatia. Be interesting now

Such a mad tackle, especially when you have a keeper like Neuer!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,117 ✭✭✭jacool

Can't throw this one away now, can they?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,605 ✭✭✭yipeeeee

Penalty and a yellow would have sufficed.

Silly pen to give away but we'll put away by aguero. Needs to be with neuer in goal.

That's not the rules though, it was a clear goal scoring opportunity.

Last man back deems a red I thought?

I can still see City struggling here. I don't think this is over by a long shot.

It does but I think it should be changed if it's in the box.

How so? The rules clearly state that denying a clear goalscoring opportunity is punished by a red card. Now you can argue about the rule, and I don't actually agree with the rule as it stands as it seems to be a double punishment. But it is the rule.

    See above.

    Sneaky fecker!

Nice strike. Hart was poor though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

    F***ing soft goal to concede.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,312 ✭✭✭✭Cienciano

I now this is captain hindsight, but that wall was really badly positioned and hart really should have been expecting that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 704 ✭✭✭frisbeeface

Gets worse with every replay. How can he be allowed to roll it into the corner like that!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Bayer a ability to keep possession even with 10 men is fantastic.

Wow. City were looking really good until about 5 minutes ago. Obviously no confidence in the team

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

Wow, take a bow son! What a goal!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

    Two top class goals.

    Unreal finish from Lewandowski.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,116 ✭✭✭Professional Griefer

Ahaha, pooooor defending, cant believe City didnt hold to half time, 2-1 down and a man up!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,312 ✭✭✭✭Cienciano

A soft free and then that! This must be tough to watch for a City fan, it's like they don't want to win

    Another well taken goal.

Could see from a mile away were that cross was going, terrible defending. Super finish from Big Rob though.

Man City are choking again. That centre back mangala is running around like a headless chicken.

City should be forced to give up their Champions League spot to the next club down in the league table. Awful embarrassment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Havent seen the game but have City been as poor as Twitter is making them out to be?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,553 ✭✭✭✭Dempsey

How much is sagna getting again?

50 lashes for that sort of defending!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,797 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

City crumpling like a wet paper bag again. You'd have to think Pellegrini will be in trouble if things stay this way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,593 ✭✭✭theteal

Absolutely shocking keeping for the free. What was the point of the wall if he was going to stand behind it? Is it not meant to cover the portion of the goal that he wasn't covering? Sense was not made

We played pretty well after the red card, once Bayern's goal went in the heads dropped. Not as bad as the CSKA game. Navas making some progress, Nasri a bit wasteful.

Started off very shakily, but grew intot he game and were deservedly ahead. But a terribly soft free kick equaliser followed by a good/lucky goal by Lewandowski. Shocking defending, as has become the norm this season.

Pelligrini wont be under pressure but now would you take 4th over 3rd, if it comes to it?

City wont need the Europa League for a UCL appearance next year so maybe avoiding a Thursday nights would be good for their league progress.
