Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Don't see anyone challenging Glen Johnson for the Ballon D'Or.

When you look at him from the side, Mignolet's face just seems to stop suddenly.

Dreadful lack of off the ball movement, dawdling possession.

That's harsh, they all move to recieve a pass, the problem is they all just run into their own half to receive it from one CB, just to pass it to the other CB.:(

It's utterly depressing watching Lambert up front on his own.

He's not an outlet what so ever.

The difference with how we play compared to last season is like night and day.

Last season their style had me on the edge of my seat almost every game.
This season is all huff and puff without style or end product that does not really entice me to watch them. All seems to go against everything Rodgers says about how the game should be played.

You could fit an ocean liner between Manquillo and Skrtel.

That was Johnson running out into midfield for no reason at all leaving plenty of space out behind Sterling

This midfield isn't working at all. Lambert is isolated up front and Ludo are just waltzing through it.

    Gerrard sooooo slow....

Grobbelaar is right, Mignolet is like Dracula. Can't deal with the crosses in his box.

We basically need new signings in all the positions that Rodgers has already bought players for

Only tuned in for the last couple of minutes, the pitch is.. interesting.

    poor attempt from Sterling...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Gerrard actually looks a bit arthritic in his movement.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Sterling turned there, 40 yards out, and nobody was making a run ahead of him.

    Infuriating.

But why was there no striker for him to pass to. That's the difference with last season?

Sterling the only one with a bit of go forward in him, could do with Coutinho or Lallana in place of one of the four midfielders

He's a bit like a tea-totaller also,... he can't deal with shots either.

Liverpool players strolling about while the other team control the game. Embarrassing.

God mingolet, would you not have passed it 10 feet to the player right in front of you rather than hoof it up the pitch and give the ball away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,564 ✭✭✭✭OwaynOTT

After spending 1 billion dollars in the summer, Liverpool have 2 signings out there. Lambert who cost 4 million and Maquillo who is a loanee.
Two of our 3 forward players are over 32 years of age playing in a counter attack team.
After spending near 70 million on our defence in last two years, Skrtel and Johnson are still in it.

    It's a joke, it's all a fcuk ing joke.

Gerrard doesn't have the legs for an attacking role and isn't good enough for a defensive role. Still no danger of him ever getting dropped though.

why would he pass ? he had a free shot on goal... he tried to swerve it into the top corner by the looks of it.. just needed a better strike..

    This ref is shocking.

I get fed up with people having a go at Gerrard on every game.

Of course at his age he hasn't got the legs he had but he's still vital for this team. Can pass well, tackle and is our best option for set pieces.
