Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it possible to mount a network drive to an Android drive in order to save files to it from the tablet please?

I use es file explorer to save to a nas from my android devices.

  • That won't work I don't think unfortunately mate. I need it to be selectable as a directory I can save to in tTorrent. Basically I want to download torrents from my tablet onto my NAS.

I did find this but I just can't get it to work. I have "invalid argument" burned into my consciousness at this stage!

Not sure about mounting it, but I can access my NAS through a few apps. It has never been a problem.

Not really answering your question but I have a NAS and it has a torrent downloader on it. I can add torrents to this using my phone but the actual downloading is done on the NAS.

    what make is your NAS?

I was just going to add the same.

OP, are you downloading the full file through the tablet, or just the torrent?

  • I have a ZyXEL NSA310S. I know there's a torrent downloader on the NAS but wouldn't it be awkward going to a torrent site, downloading the torrent file and then opening it with the NAS downloader? Is there an easier way? I want it for members of the family who are not experienced with computers/tech at all.

I have an iomega NAS, all it needs is the torrent file dropped into a hot folder and it does the rest. Just don't forget to delete them at some point or it'll continue seeding.

I have the Zyxel 325. There is a Transmission package that you can install. This is a 3rd party torrent downloader and it is simple yet powerful. It will probably require a little techy knowledge to get it installed and set up but I can now go to a torrent site on my phone, click the magnet link beside the torrent and it will automatically get added to my NAS at home and download.

I then have a little 2 line script that runs and sends me an alert to tell me it is finished downloading.

This forum is all about the Zyxel NAS and installing packages:

Sienna Clumsy Self-incrimination already has FFP isntalled, as I read that forum too.
Install transmission on your nas. then get https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rsa.transgui

when you hit a magnet link or download torrent it'll ask you on the N7 what to open it with. select transgui and that'll forward on the info to your nas and download. You should also open the ports so you can do this away from your home network. Works a treat with sickrage & couch potato.

    i use this:

same concept as what Ste- uses.

I use Pushover to receive notifications sent from transmission.
