Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ah here... where's legendary Cork City manager Roddy Collins?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,038 ✭✭✭circadian

Aye Roddy would be good, I'd have one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,813 ✭✭✭Randomfriend

Roddy Collins Jr. prints for all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,772 ✭✭✭civis_liberalis

And what about legendary "administrator" John Delaney.

Here's how the heary one turned out.

I was thinking Fabio next for Drogs. I also want to do a Jason Byrne one, but he's annoying because he never stood at a club quite long enough, or every club he was at have more appropriate people.

    Quality!

For Wanderers, has to be Daz, pretty sure he's the record appearance holder and was captain a long time, not to mention staying on after announcing his retirement just to help out because we were going through tough times.

Tarzan and Jayo would be next on the list.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,597 ✭✭✭dan1895

Jayo would be a Cardiff City hero no?

Dave Barry anyone? Always thought he was a class player, I remember his Cork City team giving Bayern a serious test over 2 legs back in the early 90s. Which would be unthinkable now of course.

I'd like to see one of Jimmy Aggrey celebrating after scoring on his debut against Rovers for Bohs.....definition of Cult Hero :)

Anyone half interesting from Limerick? I live down here a few years now, and go to the odd match, but haven't a clue about their greatest players.

Wexford, Waterford, Cobh, Athlone, the same, I wouldn't know enough about them to make an educated guess.

Any opinions on the likes of Kilkenny and of course Monaghan, too I'd be happy to hear them.

Fingal, Salthill, Mervue, Kildare and Dublin City were all a tad too short lived for me to really consider them as anything, although I know there's a few die hard Kildare men still in mourning..

while any other clubs before that are probably too far before my time. But again, I'll take any info on board, there's a whole slew of Dublin clubs I know were in the league that I could name but I'd know next to nothing about. :D

I think Al Finucane is their local hero, Tony Ward won the FAI cup with them and Sam Allardyce was their player manager in the 90s and was the last manager to get them promoted before Pat Scully did.

Still plenty of time to vote for her by the way, if anyone hasn't done so about 10 times already. :pac:

Been working away on a few new ones over Christmas.

Dave Barry & Pat Morley after Barry's goal V Bayern

Tony Fagan, the man Pirlo is impersonating.

You can see pretty much all of the prints I've done so far via this link. Still lots of ideas in the pipeline and trying to improve them. http://goo.gl/l7ueeD

Would like to say thanks to those of you who PM'd me and/or bought prints in the last few months, helps me out a lot :)

Finn Harps would have to be either Con McLaughlin or Brendan Bradley.

Speaking of Harps, I had already done a Jim Sheridan one but didn't like it. So have tried to make a better version.

I'll keep the other two lads in mind when time comes to make a 2nd Haprs print, thanks!

For Wexford Youths it'd be either Danny Furlong or Paul "Patsy" Malone. Current manager Shane Keegan also well worth a mention.

Good stuff, I was thinking Danny myself. Might leave off making any Wexford stuff for another while, let Danny's legend grow so to speak :pac:

It seems that N'do is gone from Sligo for good which is a shame, I did a print on him a few months back, but was itching to do a newer better version. Finished it up this morning.

You could add Shane Curran, Rod De Khors, Andy Myler to Athlone list.

Monaghan, Trevor Vaughan perhaps. Always seemed to score against us anyway

    Cheers lads, good shouts. :)

A Ger O' Brien print was mentioned to me a while back, given how big a win it was for Pats, so I put something together last week if anyone'd like a look.

Frame around it is just for my online shop. Spent a few days editing pictures and uploading them to improve the look of the whole thing. I never want to do anything like it again..

Difficult to recognize Stef there, no?

Had to read that a few times to figure out what it meant, but I think I get you now :pac:
Yeah, I think another angle might be better for realism, I was just messing about really trying out something slightly different.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it in that regard, there's very few who could name another blonde female Irish footballer.

(Although if you want to do a print of Kylie Murphy, by all means :D)

Well lads, not posted much here now in a good while, didn't want to be spamming too much in case it was annoying, those who are aware of my various social media deelies will know I'm still working away at this stuff. Doing legends prints, other loi and players from abroad as well as Irish internationals. Think they're getting better, please do have a look and judge me at your leisure, IF you've nothing better to be doing midweek..

Hey Conor, yeah I'm planning on doing at least one more city one in the next couple of weeks, not a bad shout at all. Had considered Maguire, but at the end of the day, he's still only been there a year, and in general I try to stick to making work about guys who've been longer serving.

Sure while I'm here, I finished off Alan Bennett.
