    Any news on the release of that GDR1. I read 2 updates at the end of 2014? Apart from a battery saver update and a camera one today nit ho. Really disheartening with windows phone now just a general bastard child of mobile OS for what its worth. Thinking of new phone and android for Christmas.

    GDR1 (or Update 1) for Windows Phone 8.1 is already out and should be available for nearly all devices running Windows Phone 8.1. If your device doesn't have it yet then it's down to your operator delaying it...

    Update 2 may rollout in Dec as will the next firmware update for Lumias called Denim. Realistically, most people will start getting these updates in Jan 2015.

    If you want Update 2 now, enroll in the Dev Preview programme which will give you the latest OS updates a few months ahead of 'general release'.

    Thanks there's no Lumia 630 update for any country let alone operator. Don't understand. It will auto update anyways so who cares tbh :D

    The important thing to remember is that the rollout is 'starting' today. That means you may see an update anywhere from today to... February 2015.

    Best thing to do is forget about it, then act surprised when the update does appear :)

    My 625 went off and downloaded a 'critical update' just now
    'Extras + info' calls it release 'lumia denim'.
    Whats this going to do to the phone ?

    Can anyone suggest a descent internet radio app for WP ?

    That's an important update that fixes bugs and adds some new features.

    You should install it :)
