Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    nope. I've asked previously too, nothing comes close in scale or variety. Plenty of small specialised fora though.

    Meh.

    NZ's equivalent to boards was BBS systems that existed before the www and browser-based forums were adopted by the masses. I can't remember the names any more (sheesh ... was almost 20 years ago :( ), but they pretty much died when the great unwashed arrived and the noise-signal ratio went haywire.

    Sadly my brother used to run a BBS, and I remember him doing a paper round to pay the phone bill for the two extra lines back in the early 1990s

    I remember using BBS systems too - Paradise BBS and Portunus's Little CBCS
