Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
I am planning to buy a new renault clio this month.I don't have much info about cars. Liked the look of it. So, should i be buying it or any reason for avoiding it?

what's drawing it to you over others?

there's some fun looking customisation options, but if it ages like every other clio, i wouldn't be wild.

An alternative to a clio, the new Hyundai i20 will be out shortly.

i guess it's down to taste but i think the old i20 is more of a looker.

I owned an i10 before so don't prefer Hyundai again. Nothing wrong with the i10, just want a change.
My budget is 15k to 18k. Out of ford fiesta and Peugeot I find Clio a winner.
But I don't know how bad it ages.

If going for the Clio then try and get the 1.0 litre engine instead of the old 1.2 litre. The 1.0 litre is more powerful and fuel efficient.

There's a new fabia just out that might be worth considering.

The Clio is Renaults best product, and is a very solid all rounder. Avoid the diesel if living in the city and mostly do short journeys, as mentioned the old 1.2 is also not a great engine.

Family member has a 2010 Clio in 4 years has not had one single issue.

If you like it there is no reason not to buy one.

The 1.2 is woefully underpowered. It was great in the old Clio MK2 but the Clio has grown too heavy now.
