Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Player you want at your club

So I was thinking,as an Everton fan what players I would want at Everton that are currently in the premiership.

Players can't be from the big 4:

    Chelsea
    City
    Arsenal
    United

If you support these clubs, what players would you want from those top 4? I imagine you'd only want players from those clubs anyway :pac:

    For me it's:

    Eriksen
    Fonte
    Siggy

Bit doubtful on Siggy as we have players in that position that are quite good, but he's a quality baller.

    So, who would you have?

Off the top of my head I would take Vertonghen, Coleman and Clyne at United.

For ManUtd (not necessarily first 11, but for squad)
    Schneiderlin
    Clyne
    Coleman
    Stones
    Barkley
    Vertonghen
    Eriksen
    Sterling

Does it not defeat the purpose when you name about 10? Surely just 1?

Liverpool fan. If I had to pick one Seamus Coleman, absolutely terrific player. Well jealous he plays for Everton.

United fan here, players I'd like from rivals

Man City - Zaboleta , Aguero, Milner
Chelsea - Hazard, Cahill, Matic, Ivanovic
Arsenal - Nothing really. Although I'm a big fan of Ozil

Surely take Sanchez from Arsenal. He is carrying them at the moment.

Begovic who LFC should have got two years ago.
Schneiderlin so he can sit on the bench and watch Gerrard!
Pelle would be able to sit and watch Balotelli

by the way I resent the OPs definition of the Big 4 given where Liverpool and Man Utd finished last season! :p

Messi would do the trick, I reckon.

You could argue Clyne or Coleman for ivanovic and maybe sterling over Willian.

If I had said top 4 that would of included Liverpool, which was not the idea simply because of their squad. I said Big 4, based on they are the usual 4 to qualify for CL.

    Emphasis on Usual.

I stand corrected, in that case,
    Kompany for Cahill
    Sanchez for Willian

Nope to either, Ivan is much more solid RB. Both are better in open play and offer more in attacking sense than Ivan but for overall defending he trumps both.

Id prefer a bit more going forward from my full backs though. The way chelsea play Ivanovic is regularly in great attacking positions so its not like he is just in the team to defend. I think in the two CBs and Matic they can afford to go with a more attacking outlet on the right as azpil tends to just hang back and let hazard do his thing on the left.

Matic would provide the stability and protection the Arsenal defence craves

As a Liverpool fan, I think the club could do with some attack minded midfielders and forwards.
So I'd go with Berahino and what ever other players are having a decent season and buy them for around 20 million.
So, ya know, much like what Rodgers and the Transfer committee will do.

Really? Can't remember the last time I saw Cahill make an error while on the other hand Kompany is prone to defensive lapses as well as giving away the odd silly free kick.

No doubt Cahill is a top cb but has a big advantage over Kompany, in that he has a very stable partner. I cant begrudge Terry in his footballing abilities.

Cahill is good but made to look better by Terry, IMO anyway.

Id probably take Kosclieny too over Cahill for various reasons.

    Vincent Kompany (Arsenal)

    Imagine him and Kos together
