Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Will he not try and revert back to 4 man defence

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

I somehow doubt it that LVG will deploy 3 at the back. Surely he'll make some sort of a makeshift back 4.

    De Gea
    Smalling Carrick Rojo
    Valencia Fellaini Rooney Young
    Mata
    Di Maria Rvp

Something like that? Odgen thinks Carrick is at cb.

I'd be very surprised if this isn't now they line out. 3/5 at the back just invites trouble.

Mutv have it as 3 at back with Mata and Fellaini in cm.

I think it'll be 3 at the back as well

Hopefully cause that means Di Maria in the middle.

    Wilson injured?

Why is McNair dropped and Carrick playing CB???

Looks like Carrick in midfield to me

Because it won't be a pure CB role. At home to Hull you want a more attack minded player there.

Back four with Carrick protecting says the commentary

Robertson I think just stuck out his arm when it was going to Fellaini in the box.

    Rojo handled it before him.

Di Maria and Rooney looking on good form. RvP looking like he's lacking confidence again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

So disappointing to see Di Maria injured, but at least we currently have options.

It's so nice to be able to take a quality midfield player off and bring a quality one on in his place though..

Hmm nobody made a score prediction before the game.

I'm going with 3-0 but would hope for more...

Herrera has great awareness, always knows who's around him without looking.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,017 ✭✭✭Chagan

Ya goaline tech is all well and good but now we won't have anything controversial to chat with our mates about later(/Blatterlogic)

Is it time to call in an exorcist or someone about the injuries?

Goalline technology gave us a goal that the ref or assistant in no way would have given without the tech. Di Maria did his Hamstring, or felt a twinge and came off for Herrera.

The injury Gods have chosen Di Maria for their match day injury. They have gone for the hamstring this time.

Smalling goal thanks to goal line technology. Very scrappy goal.

We're playing pretty well off the ball, not making much with it.
