Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fairly solid. Toure + Skrtel with Lucas in front doing a good job.
Lambert has done well up top on his own but we aren't really a threat. 1 goal will win this.

HT 0-0 the central areas look much more composed in defence with Lucas and Toure marshalling well, Johnson is beyond the joke.

Further forward Hendo and Coutinho are fitful at best, Lambert needs a runner consistently but hasn't got one. Sterling is manful but should be playing centrally for me.

Lallana has to come on for Coutinho I think and move Sterling inside.

That Borini isn't even on the bench is remarkable unless he has a knock.

That was exciting stuff :) Positive is we looked much more solid as a team. Probably going to have to dog out a few results like this if we are going to turn things around but not exactly the kind of football you want to be watching Liverpool play at home to Stoke.

Much better at the back, but no threat at all up front. Hardly a shot on target in the game & looks like a 0-0 which is no use at all. Get Lallana on and see can he create something

Poor half from both teams. Our 11 are desperately short of quality. We look as clueless on the ball as Stoke and about as mobile too. Much better needed,

We need lallana on at half time, probably Can as well!

Moreno and Lallana on the bench is head scratching.

Very little intent on committing players to the box when in possession. Very similar to Rodgers 1st season/Dalglish. 4 or 5 defenders v a lone red shirt.

Looking like a game that will be decided by a defensive funk up.

Moreno - not really. Walters is down that side and is good in the air. Enrique is far stronger than Moreno and more of a match for Walters.

At the top end of the pitch it is so disheartening watching us this season. All the top sides have that striker than makes things happen from nothing. We have no one there.

The ball goes to lambert and all he can do is hold it up to play in Coutinho/Sterling. We need a striker than can turn and run at players ALONG with being able to play in Sterling/Coutinho. Especially with the way we play, we need a pacey striker. We don't have enough goals from midfield to have a slow target man like Lambert.

Signing a striker in January has to be made a priority. That fourth spot is fast disappearing. It could well be gone by Christmas.

I'm watching this on Foxtel Australia - imagine staying up till the small hours to watch this.

Whelan has been subbed for Adam.

Moreno less so. That Spurs goal seems to have done wonders for people's perception of him.

Hard to blame them. The increase in ticket prices has been prevalent throughout the league. However with the poor facilities in Anfield, cramped seating and restricted views, they're getting hit far more than most. The renovation will only fix part of the problem

Maybe I'm being harsh here but I'm getting sick of seeing us being attacked down the left and seeing Johnson strolling back.

They were going in last year. Unlucky.

Shouldve bought Shane Long instead of Lambert.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Johnson shown the outside and still just cuts in and gets tackled

    Gerrard would have scored that.

Remarkable how often Coutinho looks accomplished on the ball, does pretty things in possession but has no influence on the match whatsoever.
