Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Suprised there's no thread for this yet, 2nd vs. 3rd in the league.

Aguero booked for diving when it was a stone wall penalty, honestly one of the worst decisions I've ever seen.

It's not like the ref had a bad view of it either, he was perfectly placed.

Southampton should have just scored, bad miss from Pelle but other than that City by far the most threatening team so far.

    Ref has been crap.

The ref and his team have been atrocious. A certain penalty not given (plus the ridiculous yellow card for Kun), then the linesman pulls the game back for offside, even though the offending Saints player never actually got near the ball and we were in a decent attacking position. I give up.

Ref determined not to give aguero a free

Its sad that the referee is the main talking point in a big game like this.

From early on when he booked Wanyama I thought he was a bit off. Then a short time later booking Aguero for a dive when it was a clear penalty showed how awful he was going to be.

Aguero has been fouled at least twice since and got nothing for it and these are very clear fouls.

There have been other things like the Jovetic free kick on the left side of the pitch which didn't look like a foul at all.

The only thing he seems to have got right so far is the Mangala yellow card.

It wouldn't be quite so annoying if his view of the incident was blocked. That happens. But he had a clear, close up view of the tackle. I really can't understand where he got his decision from. Staggering.

Carragher on the penalty call " Even Howard Webb couldn't defend that!"

Worst refereeing I've witnessed since the last time I saw Howard Webb in action.

The Southampton lads aren't afraid to shoot from range. Make Hart sweat a little.

Fairly weak defending there but deflection not something you can do a lot about.

    About bloody time
Surprised that Jones didn't chalk it off for Yaya hitting the ball at a Southampton player.

Shows how much attention I've been paying. Didn't realise Erwin Koeman was on the coaching staff at Southampton.:)

Harsh sending off but the ref had little choice.

    Poor free that.

It was an obvious second booking? Toure at fault really though mangala had to do something or long was through.

nailed on sending off tbf. Easiest decision the ref had all day.

Probably as well, he's been shocking for the rest of it

    Please can we keep him?

Lamps is something else, how many times has he finished a game off over his career and doing a great job sitting deep too since he came on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

    He's still got it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,721 ✭✭✭Al Capwned

Superb run and ball in by long.

Superb run and ball in by long.

If he had a left foot it might have been that split second later with the ball. Looked awfully awkward stretching and hooking it with his right.
