I got a stove/boiler fitted three months ago its plumbed to heat rads etc. The job took a month to do due to a number of issues. since then we've had serious problems with smoke from the stove plus rads don't heat and neither does the water.
The plumber who fitted the stove has been contacted on numerous occasions and has failed to come and sort it out. We have two small babies in the house and the smoke gets so bad that we've given up lighting it as its a real health hazard. The plumber in question has been paid 70% of the cost so far.
is there any legal come back against him or who can I complain to about this? We're at our wits end with him at this stage.

As a consumer you have rights under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act. If the service provided falls short then you can require the service provider (plumber) to remedy the situation by correcting the fault or by giving a full or partial refund. Assuming he is responsible for the problem and he refuses or fails to sort it you may have to take him to court. Fortunately you can do this easily through the Small Claims Court for a mere €25.
