Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Its a long season. If he's still around after January he'll get a game. Right now its about making Lambert feel that he's the man.

If that was the case, wouldn't Borini at least make the bench.

Hopefully the striker debacle will be sorted in January with some proper signings.

He's not even on the bench. Gone in January, either sold or BR will have him looking after his new woman's kid. Won't be starting for us again.

Back 5 is ok ish if Toure continues his good form, I like Manquillo and Johnson hasn't been too bad of late.

If Lucas is the tasked with sitting in front of the back 4 and Gerrard is more advanced the midfield should be ok once Lucas is disciplined to stay near the two CBs.

Great to see Lallana start, him with Sterling ensures the defenders (Leicester) have two real dangers apart from Lambert.

Lambert played many games for S'ton, should be no probs for him in this his 4th consecutive start, with the no goals monkey off his back and match fit he might yet have his best 'pool performance to date tonight :)

    Optimism hat on :D YNWA

It seems Gerrard is not tasked with defensive midfield :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,406 ✭✭✭ike

Looks that way, let Lucas do his defensive thing...

Toure is some fúcker for telling the team to push up but then dropping deep himself.

Jesus Christ Lucas. A ball back to Mingolet was a better option than a shot there (not that that was something that should have been done, just showing how wastefull the "shot" was).

    I've switched to Russian commentary!

    Fabio Borini RIP

Rightly so in my opinion. Done nothing in a Liverpool shirt. scoring one goal in 18 appearances is a shocking performance despite his "excellent movement".

Slow start so far all round. At least they seem to be keeping it tight enough at the back anyhow. I assume the game will get more stretched as it goes on though.

Has there been a match thread where people don't complain about the co-commentator? Apparantly they are all crap.

How is that not a foul?

I can feel the strain of people not wanting to praise Gerrard for the ball to Maquillo :)

How many of those appearances were 10 min at the end of a game tho?

He's not the permanent solution to our striker problems but he's definitely good enough for the bench at least with our current squad

Hope someone tell's Raheem to forget about getting frees off Lee Mason, as the clown is usually nowhere near enough play to make decent calls.

    Useless ref.

The sight of Paul Koncheskey being involved in a Liverpool match in any way still makes me shudder.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

    That was Gerrard's fault.

Skrtel's looked very dodgy so far

Its like he's frolicking around in the vacated space shouting, "So much room for activities"

Any time he's started he has been poor and is just not good enough for the level Liverpool aspire too.
People often seem to have difficulty accepting that a player may be poor. He's had 2 years and hasn't broken into the team. What more do you need?

I see Gerrard is no longer the darling. Glen Johnson must be feeling that the boot in the head from Shawcross was worth it

Haul off Mignolet now. Put Llalana in goal if you want to, just get rid of that unless stick.
