Eircom wont disconnect the line of the previous person!

    Ive just purchased a house and wanted to connect to Eircom Phone and Broadband.


    Everything was going fine until the operator said that the previous owner hadnt disconnected and until he has done so I couldnt take out the service.

    After weeks of going back and forth between various Eircom departments including the loyalty department Eircom have still not disconnected the line and are refusing to do so, except the line is still active!

    I just want to be able to take out a Broadband and phone line in my own name, I cant understand why Eircom wont simply discconect the account of the previous owner!

    Can anyone here help?
