I'd recommend checking out the 2 lads in Lagoona in the IFSC. They were very good yesterday

They're just finished in lagoona now. I have to say I thought they were excellent.

How does that work? Downland the app and search for u2? Is it an official feed or just fans at the gig?

Just fans. There were about 10 people near me scoping it last night.

They could have played it for another half hour and I would have enjoyed every second, it really was incredible

Well, after all the fuss, what did ye think?

I had a little bit too much to drink so the first half was a bit of a blur but from Real Thing on was excellent, a really exuberant crowd and Bono fed off it I think. I just wish I queued up earlier and got closer to the rail but even so, had a great night.

Hope to fck we don't have to wait another 5 years to see them again.

I must admit i was a bit devastated when Bono bigged up Denis O`Brien. It felt like a hard slap in the face at the end of a brilliant gig.

Kind of makes me query if he really believes all this social justice stuff he spouts.

after all the hype its now over and what a success it was. we probly wont see them play again here for a few more years.

intresting thing i was not searched or padded down going in on tuesday and i had a bag with me. I could of hand a gun or better yet some cans.

my heart goes out to the crew who have to take down the stage and rigs tonight while the band are off partying because theres a show on 2morrow night

Absolutely brilliant night. Bad was out of this world. Delighted Imelda May was the special guest. I love her.

Dub. Unless I momentarily zooned out there was no mention of Denis O'Brien tonight. The tribute at the end was to Dennis Sheehan, who passed away earlier this year. Maybe you got mixed up, or are you referring to last night?

Was a bit freaked by the metal detectors on the way in. I asked was it because of Paris but they said no that it would have been done anyway. Sad if this is the future at concerts.

I was on the left hand side (facing the main stage) and everyone around me wanted to keep singing "40" long after the band had left :D

It's amazing how those two songs blend into eachother so well, considering they were released on different albums. Every U2 gig I've been to and every tour DVD I've watched where Bad is a song, it always begins and ends with an incredibly long snippet of 40's chorus.

I didn't think I'd find myself saying this, but it was somehow actually an even better finish than One on Monday night.

He was referring to Friday night, I was there, it was just before Mother and Child reunion, Bono thanked Matt Damon, Colin Farrell and Denis O'Brien for attending..not sure what he was thinking giving him a shout-out. Saw O'Brien leaving after the gig, with a police escort and a massive amount of security.

No sign of metal detectors on the door Friday, overall I was sort of disappointed in the show, saw them in Berlin a few months earlier and it was just a much better experience.

Not much time for imelda and absolutely no time for pants.

In fairness though imelda sang desire with gusto and she was excellent.

Out of the three i seen, london 4 last night and tonight, (plus mon and tues streaming  ) tonight was the best. Not sure why, maybe cause it was the end, maybe cause i was standing or maybe cause i seen the whole show from a good angle....... Whatever it was, i was in my element.

Invisible really really really growing on me. The more i hear it the better it gets and it is a brilliant part of the show.

    There is no them

    Edit.........oh yea and 40........ Like a pig in **** :D

Watching clips from their last tour here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBuK2rgqYUk

And it doesn't compare at all to this tour. They knocked it outta the park and focused on the songs and playing those songs well now.

The spectacle came second and was supplementary and complimentary rather than overbearing. And that's no bad thing at all.

Invisible really is a great tune lads. Thought it was OK before. Full blown tune tonight.

    A very weak finale!

Bono and the boys left it all onstage last night! (Friday) a flawless performance!

It seemed a far more disjointed and restrained show tonight! By no means bad, but certainly the worst I've seen on this tour!

Great crowd in the standing area. Plenty of space to dance. Getting a drink was a breeze. The big screen was class especially for cedarwood plus iris gave the homely chills. Encore hit home big time with the fanatics especially. clAss with a capital A.

I went to 360 and Vertigo as well as IE. There is a place for spectacle, those shows were absolutely amazing. This is amazing on a totally different level, but if you asked me to pick a favourite TBH I couldn't compare them. I almost feel like this tour and the 360 tour are two sides of a coin which complete eachother. This tour feels like the missing leg of the 360 tour because it's the complete opposite of the 360 tour, so having been to both, it's like you have a complete U2 experience in your memory banks.

My question is, now that U2 are doing this and seem to be absolutely loving it (and the crowds and reviewers are clearly loving it as well) what does it mean for future tours? Is indoors and sold out the future of U2 touring? Show-wise this would be fantastic, but at the same time it would be a shame if the current paradigm of having legions of disappointed fans because demand so far outstrips supply for tickets, become the norm for U2. I've never seen or heard of such an unimaginable rush to get tickets or so many people missing out, in all my years of being a U2 fan.

I mean obviously there's a price to be paid for a new type of show experience, but I'd hope a middle ground can be found wherein on the next tour there aren't so many people who simply can't get in to see them.

Overheard one of the roadies in the Gibson hotel mention a tour in the autumn. Also, never saw so many faces you know in one place, Keith Duffy, Brendan O Connor, Christy Dignam, Gavin Friday, Guggi, John Rocca, Francis Brennan, and I was only there for half an hour.

I also was there on Monday night in seated section J. Cost me the full €190, ouch. In GA last night and was near the stage on Adam's side. Which was better? Actually glad I did both. Could really enjoy the graphics in the cage on mon particularly for Sunday and when they started again after the interval with Invisible. Having a seat is great, you really get the overall effect. Last night I actually left with a sore neck!
But last night up close was much better!! When Electric Co started I thought the set would be the same as mon. I also went to Belfast on wed and that set was exactly the same as the mon one. Was thinking when it was played last night I'd done three in a row. What a surprise I was in for! So many highlights last night. Electric Co, Streets, Angel of Harlem really got the crowd going and nice tribute to Christy Dignam to boot, but Bad/40 topped off a fabulous gig.
Btw, when standing the sound was much better. Maybe its because you're at a lower level from the speakers so not as blaring.
