Not much time for imelda and absolutely no time for pants.

Invisible really really really growing on me. The more i hear it the better it gets and it is a brilliant part of the show.

    There is no them

    Edit.........oh yea and 40........ Like a pig in **** :D
    Correct on both counts.
Pants was a bit of craic, a change from the American/Spanish/Italian looker usually brought on :):)

Overheard one of the roadies in the Gibson hotel mention a tour in the autumn. Also, never saw so many faces you know in one place, Keith Duffy, Brendan O Connor, Christy Dignam, Gavin Friday, Guggi, John Rocca, Francis Brennan, and I was only there for half an hour.

North American tour will be in 2016. No European dates unfortunately.

My mate hi fived Noel Gallagher in the standing area. We thought he might be getting up for ''Still havnt found' but he was just a regular punter with us. What a show!!! Best gig I've attended in years.

Bono intro to Pride saying 'It's a Beautiful Day indeed' I found funny :P

Was at Monday and last night (thanks to a Boardsie) and I think I preferred Monday more, but that could be because it was the first time seeing it all and so some of the choreographed stuff I had naively felt was spontaneous. Seeing it twice strips that naive illusion away.

I guess Bad was the highlight of last night for me as I had never heard it live before. I really liked the video platform and Bono's interaction with it, especially Cedarwood Rd, but me personally, I hope any future U2 shows are even more stripped down than this as I feel that is where their strength truly lies. Their songs are what ultimately make U2 shows. The bells and whistles are cool and all but I want to see U2 on stage and nothing much else. I love the secondary stage and think they should hang onto that, perhaps using it for unplugged versions of songs but once is more than enough.

Hopefully next time they play here will just be them and no video screen or choreographed antics. For some songs that can be quite difficult maybe, but those particular I am not too bothered about hearing again tbh. Loved these shows though and easily some of the best gigs I've been at.

What a week that was, went to all four gigs.Loved every minute of it.Of the seven shows I've seen on this tour (Amsterdam,London,Glasgow & Dublin x4) the second night in Glasgow is imo impossible to match. That was a different ball game altogether.

Last night was the best concert I've ever been to! My first U2 gig and I think it's ruined all other gigs for my in the future :D

Bloody Sunday was the highlight for me, best version of the song I've heard. The video they put on during was fantastic too! I Will Follow, Bad and Bullet the Blue Sky were all amazing as well.

Bono sand some of the lyrics of Live Forever to something, can't remember what.. had a feeling then that Noel must be in the house then.

He goes to U2 gigs quite a but it would seem..

Where did Mr Gallagher position himself last night, anybody know?

I'm pretty sure he went to all the London gigs, and caught an early show in America. Lucky him!

Watchin the leaked Paris HBO gig now. Lads this was some show. Still absolutely buzzing.

Despite pretty much seeing pictures and videos of all the screens used on the mesh thing, seeing it in person is pretty mesmerising. For such a simple idea I cant believe it hasnt been done before. Worked brilliantly. Invisible was unreal in it. Wasnt too familiar with it before hand. One of the songs of the night for me then.

Great night - the Panti Bliss was a funny cameo , but went on too long - awful dancer too :D
Imelda May , I don't get - nice girl etc........

Was stuck in a strange sort of corporate section - hard to actually talk to a fan or a local.....

Think I needed to be in standing area.

Bumped into a unreal amount of people I know and had a class night , before, at and after.

I said it to a fan last night, they are sort of a tribute band to themselves - some show - the visuals (who ever does them) is groundbreaking, amazing achievement that U2 have stayed ahead of everyone visually , starting with the genius of ZOO TV.

I think with the age and outrageous pricing , it is a real middle class and higher affair , it isn't really Rock and Roll :D , one lad said to me , it is just too easy these days, real gigs is about pain - not heading out for a 7.50 pint of piss.

When you would sing randomly - you would get a sort of funny look then a smile, one girl told me I had an unreal voice :D:P

But - all the corporate sterility and fake facade seems to fall off , when, Where Streets Have No Name comes on - even the sterile corporate dudes around me couldn't suppress their inner person - was class.

I was a little sad - realising , that this may be the last time I see U2 - indoors , still able to do it.

I know there is talk of another big tour - but this is what I wanted from U2 and seems to match where they are ?

With all the stunning visual stimulus - there was something iconic about the I stage, you could see they were trying to go back in time to their start -

I think Belfast was one of the best nights of my life - I genuinely didn't see this coming and didn't think it could be that good.

I think, I was just, in the right place, at the right time, with the right people

    A song in that
    :D

Well I was sitting on the couch yesterday at 5pm watching the Football results and following this thread. I had been to the gig on Monday and feeling so jealous of you all going to the show. Then a very kind and generous fellow boards member put up that he had a spare paperless for face value. innuendo141 you are such a legend and I would just like to thank you so much for your kindness. I think it is fair to say we had a ball and did boogie all night long. There are still some top guy's out there. Thanks again innuendo141.

I was onto innuendo yesterday - absolute legend of a bloke, I got myself sorted for tickets in end - but he went above and beyond.

Real U2 fans are sound blokes :D:p

    Couldn't agree more!

Anybody else try that experience bus thing that was parked outside? I saw huge queues for it in London so thought it must be good, turns out paddies have more sense - what a load of crap. The virtual reality video has a novelty appeal but its really just an opportunity for pushy student types to try and sell you Apple stuff.

Had a blast - but the whole point is a bit corporate or something, was serious money in the section I was in. I mean serious.

Sounds like you were in a seated section, surrounded by people who likely got tickets the same way you did, at the same price you did. What makes you think you are any different to those "fake", "middle class", "corporates". By your username, I'm guessing you identify yourself as a golfer, hardly the working man's game!

What in the name of god is a "corporate" anyway? Lads who work in Lidl are working for "corporates".

I was amazed at so many people who sat at the bar when the show was on. Why pay for tickets if ur not going to watch the show.

I wonder did everyone who wanted a ticket for any of the Irish shows get them ??

    Agree on all fronts. :D

But I was there - as only tickets I could get to be honest.

Was mad money - and in them sections the atmosphere is poor - and was with a friend who goes to gigs all the time. He agreed.

By the way - I'm not entirely convinced many of the "vips" pay for their tickets at all - they are on junkets - freebies and favours.

Anyway - that was my experience.
And it was shared by most people I talked to at gig and after.

The place to be, was at front in GA - I wasn't, my own fault.

The ticketing for this gig was a disgrace , price etc. To be honest, most people were priced out of this gig.

Invisible really is a great tune lads. Thought it was OK before. Full blown tune tonight.

I thought its by far the best song off the new album live.

The rest of the new songs are very mediocre live and were crowd killers.

I can't help feeling that Bono's tone near the end of the concert was belying his utter regret at having brought that up in the first place :D:D:D

Oh and I do agree about the €6.50 pints thing. Jaysus.

Was quite near the front last night and it was heartbreaking to see people meander out of the crowd for pints during the interval, naively saying "I'll be back in a minute"... Can't help wondering how many ended up sacrificing their spot close to the band for an overpriced plastic pint

Agreed, its a strange one in the sense that I never think of as a cracking tune but everytime I hear it I love it

Anyone know what tune it is Bono sings directly before streets this tour?
