There is this thing called a search feature which just involves typing the word kosyking into a box and pressing return http://www.boards.ie/search/submit/?thread=2057338233&query=kosyking .

Bought from Easyglow last week - paid on Thursday evening and it was delivered on Tuesday this week.

Worked out at €325 for the tonne delivered (paid Paypal, conversion by bank) went with the smaller ovoids and they're working well.

Had ordered through Kosy King the last two times - can't see any difference in quality, so will be using Easyglow again if price is right.

Price is due to increase next month - I think due to courier costs, so anyone thinking about it, could be worth getting in there before price goes up.

Smaller ovoids or bigger ones for a stove do you guys reckon? Ordering from easyglow at the weekend.

There's a picture on their website that shows two sizes - I went for the ones the size of a plug:

    https://easyglow.ie/index.php/shop-coal#!/50-Bags-Small-Coal-Ovoids-for-Stoves-50x20Kg-Bags-Free-Delivery/p/79140292/category=25207659

They were recommended for glass door stones - they're a tiny bit smaller than Kosy King ones from last year, but about the same as Bord na Mona ovoids.

Can you tell me if there is much dust from the coal?

I have a small stove (glass front) and so got the smaller ovoids from easyglow. They are great.

    I have both.
Both work equally as good as the other.
Lovely glow from the smaller ones though.
I will take a pic of both side by said in a fe minutes for you to compare.

    * EDIT *
    Here is a sample pic.

How long is a piece of string?
one shovel of ovoids produce a set amount of dust
a bucketfull on the other hand will produce a lot more.
But I burn about a bucketful a night at the moment and I get approx 4 shovel fulls of dust next morning. Nothing compared to what I used to get from Columbian coal.

    +1 :)

I often think that a sticky with all the main details would be of benefit.

AFAIK a mod had to set it up. I will gladly give a helping hand if someone is up for it and I am sure there are a few more on here that will do the same.

I must admit that it gets weary reading the same questions over and over. (don't get me wrong I am all for helping new posters but people need to do a little research first)

Of course this all depends on the poster reading the sticky in the first place. :D

I havent had coal in nearly 15 years but finally this winter I have an open fireplace again, woot ! If I ever see another crappy storage heater again I will kill myself :pac:

In Dublin 15 and looking to pick up 2 x 50kg bags of coal. I remember Texan coal fondly back in the late 90s for its quick lighting and blazing heat. Have no ideas of what is similiar now but any pointers on what is available in my area would be very helpful :)

Doesn't even need to be a sticky. If the OP's original post is highlighted as the start of it all the updates can go in the first post with a date to indicate how up to date it all is. Still needs mod interaction though which is work for someone.

Interesting the price of the easyglow, and no need to contact Liam Connolly our-self, tempted to grab a pallet half and half of the ovoids and the Colombian. What size ovoids is the question though... might give the smaller ones a go!

Shows how out of touch you are:D. Its nigh on impossible to get a 50kg bag of coal nowadays. 40kg has been the standard bag for the past 20 yrs or thereabouts.

Excellent work lenscap. At this stage I think a new thread should be created and this should be the front page information.

With full respect for Foggy Jew for creating this thread in the first place.
