Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sanchez carrying Arsenal, he's a class act.

    That's what you pay for

Wouldn't say he's carrying us tbh, did you watch the game? He got the final touch but Giroud had a much bigger impact on our change of pace.

Giroud made such a difference. Even Ramsey improved when he came on

Hah, great minds and fools etc.

Just said that on the Gooners thread…

Thats a complete misrepresentation based on tonight's match, Giroud would of got there before him if it were not for a few amazing saves from Forster beforehand.

I mean in terms of goals.

Hey, it's a good thing to have such a class player there to bag the points

Giroud's energy won that for us as much as Sanchez did. It should've won us a penalty and caused their defence to be very panicked, which played a big role in Sanchez's goal.

Giroud changed that game, missed him terribly

I would have said it was Southampton losing their core defender and going to 10 changed the game.

Tbh that game highlighted why Ox isn't a starter. He rarely seems to influence close games, never the first scorer/assister. Podolski showed why he deserves more minutes too, off the bench at least.

And surely Rosicky deserves as much, if not more, game time than Ramsey ?

I've noticed recently that we only ever seem to manage to get one good half from Ox. Maybe he would be better as an impact sub but when he is on form he can do some damage.

    This.

Giroud coming on meant Welbeck was no longer isolated up front and they could link together as Arsenal got on top. Arsenal were always likely to score when Anderwield went off. He was excellent for a centre back playing in midfield.

Lucky we got the goal seems the ref was letting a blatent handball slide for a penalty.

    Another poor ref performance.

Aye, wanyama should have been carded long before the 75th minute too.
And another top level goalkeeping performance against us too, delighted we got the points.
