Heart rate monitor with no chest strap

I'm looking for a heart rate monitor watch without a chest strap for Christmas? Can such a thing be got? Any suggestions on models or where to buy?

You still need a watch or some form of receiver with that one though.

I have the tom-tom cardio runner. HR monitor works pretty well. It uses the laser optic on the back of watch on wrist to measure your HR. Its very easy watch to use, but for the price its lacking in some functionality that garmin and garmin connect offers on the likes of the forerunner 220. Tom-tom are updating the software constantly, and improving the functionality. At this moment, Garmin is streets ahead in my opinion.

Thanks for suggestions, forgot to add that ease of use is my only other criteria, e.g. i need heart rate, time, maybe stopwatch but as little else as possible
