    From Today's Irish Times
    http://www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/garda%C3%AD-to-start-significant-search-for-fiona-pender-1.2025623
The search is due to begin tomorrow in the midlands and is expected to last for several days.

    The Indo also has it
    http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/gardai-to-begin-new-search-for-fiona-pender-following-significant-development-30798797.html
Following a major review of the case in the last 12 months, gardai have made ‘significant’ progress in the case.
They had for many years been following the activities of the main suspect in the case, who lives in another jurisdiction.
The suspect is now facing charges in an unrelated case in that jurisdiction.
Gardai were aware that he had been in a relationship with another Irish woman there, however recently learned that relationship broke down.
It is alleged he made serious threats against her.
The woman, who is now in protective care, told detectives that the suspect brought her to an area of woodland outside Portlaoise during a visit home.
The area the woman told them about will now be searched.
Specially trained sniffer dogs, a forensic archaeologist and other specially trained personnel will take part in the search, which is expected the last four to six weeks.

I hope there are no more false dawns & they uncover the body.
I hadn't known about this Portlaoise location.
