Charlie was right about the Falklands.. Imagine the hypocrisy of us supporting England in their attempts to re take the Falklands..

If there was one politician i had great time for its Tony Gregory. Now there was a true socialist. Politics misses him badly today especially when the indepdendents need to bang their heads together.

Was there any point in that scene which referenced Terry Keane's child? It seems a bit off topic.

The Terry Keane scenes were needless to be honest. She is portrayed as a drunk slapper. I dont blame her granddaughter (daughter of that adopted child) Holly Carpenter for not watching this

He's turning in to Eamonn Dunphy now....

I'm almost expecting him to say "Tony you have an agreement with me, baby".

The over acting is killing it alone...

RTE should have broadcast a "Reeling in the Haughey Years" series before this Drama to give anyone who doesn't remember the era a chance to know what is going on.

It's grating on me more this week than last week. Every sentence is a proclamation. Very hard to listen to.

As I said before, he's trying too hard to "do" Haughey, and it doesn't' come off.

Gillen has wrecked what had potential to be a good drama. His vocal inflections are sh!t. All based around the "we are living beyond our means" speech. He seems to think that Haughey spoke extravagantly the whole time. I don't believe that

Would have been interesting to see how Haughey would have handled things in 2008 with the crash/bank guarantee etc

Yeah i agree he probably didnt but this is a drama not a documentary as someone previously explained. I can guarantee very few actors portray an exact doppleganger of who they play

No-one walks around shouting all the time...there is a time and a place for talking forcibly....

Jaysus Haughey must have been exhausted at the end of the day after all that grandiose enunciating.

That's the first time I've ever understood a word McCreevey has said.
