The acting seems a bit... "CrimeCall reconstruction" doesn't it?

So far it's a bit dire.

Reminds of a school hall play

    Some people are easily excited.

It is a 3 part drama series, not a documentary.
    Who was "Des"?

    It is Des O'Malley.

Think Des O'Malley was a rival by now? Think more likely Des Traynor?

JohnBoy and Nidge sent back in time and reincarnated back from the dead as Fianna Fáil criminals, at least before they were ordinary decent criminals.

For a start Charlie was about 50 at this stage....

AG looks about 30 with a hair shortage...

and this lad the worst Louth accent ever.......

    It is Des O'Malley.

I very much doubt if Des O'Malley ever handed Charlie a wad of money.

I think Charlie is a little too small/slight.

He was 5' 6". He was never a big man. The small man who becomes a bully

    Gillen is taller then that

Gillen as Haughey, not too hopeful, he's such a crap actor.

He's a ham, not seen him in much but anything I have seen didn't like.....even his cameo in the Dark Knight you could spot the ham

I'd say is early days for this series so far but it will improve overtime.

Lots of flashing cameras - would that be realistic for the time?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 423 ✭✭The Bould Rabbit

So who the hell is Des ?

I'm ruling out O'Malley after the cash transfer. (And the fact that he didn't have a Rothmans in his gob at the time).

Des was Des Traynor I think... His accountant... Not Des O' Malley

The overacting kind of has the feel of "The Muppets Do Irish Politics" about it..

I'm amazed that the carpet of Charlie's office hasn't got a plastic sheet on it for when people come to visit him (mafia joke).
