    I remember that well, it looked for a while like we might have a General Election called during the Presidential Election. Exciting times.

    There seemed to be defined goodies and baddies in those days. I always thought of Charlie Haughey as the JR Ewing of Irish politics and Garret Fitzgerald as the Bobby Ewing of Irish politics :D

    "They own a share in Desmond's company"

    Was anybody else confused as to how Dessie O'Malley owned a company... (until the clarification in the next line of dialogue) ... The scriptwriters really dont help themselves at times do they?

    Scrap Saturday would have been on around this time, it would have been good if they had that on the radio in the background at some point.

    Nobody on ANY of the panel shows discussing the program seemed to know either.. They all seemed to think it was the token backbencher...

    the traveller chap was stupid casting if you asked me. He was good in love hate but he clearly has his limits

    I don't know too much about Terry Keane, other than what I've read and seen on the Late Late, but if she was anything like she's portrayed on this program, she has to have been one of the most appalling, obnoxious cünts ever to have walked the earth.

    Insert sick smilie here --->

    I don't think I could stand spending 5 minutes in that woman's company.

    As Cowen .
