    Wasn't there a TD drink driving who knocked down a lady on the North Strand in Dublin smashing her legs?

    Probably more recent then Haughey's era too!

    I love the Geraldine Kennedy character, she was pretty impressive in real life too. She was one of a few journalists at the time that wasn't afraid to question Haughey.
