Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

great run, expected more from Couthino with the ball when he was given it, good move to haul him off.

Austen gets one for QPR and then gets sent off.

He's making a habit of that. Arsenal down to 10 as well.

Eh. He could just tell him to play a certain position.

Like most footballers, Stevie understands things better when you show him pictures. ;)

    Deserved a goal.

Could have done with Sturridge to put it away.

    That looked a penalty

Markovic causing a bit of trouble to Sunderland since coming on, which is good to see.

Sigh. I'm sick of this crap. We'll be out of the CL on Tuesday as well as we can't score.

"look whos back there defending" After he'd just given the ball right to a sunderland player. :pac:

Has been poor all season but it's more fashionable to blame gerrard

Sterling the only bright spot. Desperately need a new striker and not just hope Sturridge can stay fit.

Did you expect anything else a team struggling for confidence against a well organised side who kept out chelsea recently

    Rubbish. They've both been ****.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,414 ✭✭✭Lord Trollington

We done very very little wrong today particularly in second half. We Defended very well and maybe for 10mins we were under pressure.

We simply have less than nothing up front. Lambert wouldn have been more anonymous if he sat on the bench.

I actually think our tempo and pressing today was the best all season.

    Just no end product.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,473 ✭✭✭✭Super-Rush

    We shouldn't be surprised tbh.

Only for a late Gerrard free kick last season we would have only got a point against them and Suarez and Sturridge were on the field that night.

One goal scored against Hull, Stoke and Sunderland at home.

There's plenty of season left and arsenal and spurs both dropped points today. Relax.

So stupid playing with one striker. We won't get anywhere at this stage. A win today would have really set us up going into Christmas. Rodgers arrogance costing us.

I'll take a draw, not a disaster of a result but poor overall.

Midfield were slow weak and easily dealt with Lucas aside, who was excellent as was Toure. Lambert isolated and well matched by Sunderland at the back. Just depressing but without a cohesive attack thats what happens. Lallana/Henderson the biggest disappointment for me, done nothing of note.

Front 4 with a goal each, Markovic from the bench. Back 5 to fight it out among themselves for the consolation own goal. Sparkle returns to Brendan's teeth.

Pleased with that from a Sunderland viewpoint. Southampton (8-0) aside, we have been very solid and hard to break down and that was the same today.

I thought we shaded it in terms of chances (or half chances, as there wasn't anything really clear cut) and was disappointed Wickham didn't do a bit better with a couple that fell to him.

Overall, a good point for us and it ends what has been a tough run of fixtures nicely. Now if only we could start scoring goals :pac:
