    Hi guys,

Looking for recommendations for a nice restaurant in Manhattan for Christmas Eve dinner, something special....!

There seems to be a sea of advice from websites but very few of them mention the same places! Any advice is appreciated! Looking at a budget of around €150 - €200 for 2.

When you say "special" are you talking about a proposal? If so, be careful, a lot of nyc's best restaurants are very loud and quite frenetic.

Gramercy Tavern is a New York institution that hasn't lost its shine. It's very cozy and romantic, great service and food.

Keen's Steakhouse is another classic, lovely room from another age and great steaks etc.

If you want food that is more innovative you could consider Degustation in the East Village or W-D50, or if you want something more formal Jean Claude in Columbus Circle is very well respected. Another good option is The Modern, at the Museum of Modern Art, it get's a very fashionable crowd and the food styling on the plate is amazing. Betany, a new restaurant in midtown looks spectacular and is getting amazing reviews, it's in your price range if you don't go crazy with the wine.
