Fantastic soap, bit silly though that Sharon wasn't keeping one eye on laser when she was phoning it in...

Yeah she should have, very careless of her. She should know better.

I know! How many times does she have to take risks and have her head bashed in?? A bit far-fetched - her ending up in a hospital bed again! Great show!!!

Jim (Patrick Bergin) is a bit of a dark horse. It seems he owns a gun and it was he who somehow caused Rory to get involved with Laser Byrne.

Is Rory planning on killing Laser? He said something to Jim about "sorting it all out".

    That was brilliant.
I know I probably sound like a broken record but both the directing and the scriptwriting are so good.

    Famous last words...
    "Ask him"

Lazer Byrne wouldn't have been miscast in Love/Hate.
I had a soft spot for him, despite his nastiness.
I wonder how Keith will deal with what he's seen?
He looks so vacant at the best of times, really good acting from the majority.

Am assuming this is coming to an end soon?
I deliberately avoid reading about it in case I find out plot lines.

Just realised that this is on BBC2 today from 3:50pm till 5:15pm. Not sure where it is series wise. Showing as 5 and 6 of 40 episodes. From Monday next, 2 episodes from 2:15pm.

Edit: Back to the beginning it seems, must have started Monday.

It started on Tuesday in fact and they have shown three double episodes so far.

Confirmed in the Herald last night that Red Rock is taking its summer break in June, but will return in the autumn and will carry on into 2018 with no breaks.

    The scriptwriters are top class.
Paudge has his own twitter account, it's very funny.

BBC will need to reschedule it post watershed if they want to show the current series, would get a greater share of the audience I suppose.

Who did he play in FC?
I thought the scenes in the pub/wake were terrific. There was a palpable sense of menace, and poor old Keith knew it. Once again a fantastic episode.

It's the bally ballyness of it that makes it all seem so bally bally.

Played the abusive and controlling father of Kylie I think was her name. He was also Tracey's (the former prostitute's) partner.

He's juts not a good actor in my book. Not at all believable or convincing.

How many more series could it last for i wonder now that they have got back corrie and emmerdale, TV3 may not have deep enough pockets to keep it running.

Yes hard to know, they have it sold to BBC up to this series. I would think this series with the more gritty post watershed content might appeal more to a wider UK audience.

Edit: Where did I leave that Mavis Beacon typing CD?

Not only that but the girl in the video is his actual girlfriend (her name is Saoirse) so we're looking at a real life couple.

Cleere going from fairly convinced about Rory to a full u turn is just plain stupid...

BTW, what's with the OTT portrayal of alcohol and pubs with the Gardai? Cleere is clued in, conscientious, stressed and wanting to do the right thing about Walsh, and later on she's getting pissed in the local boozer with that tit, Paudge...Just way too unreal...
