Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all!

Any advice on sending a care package to my friend in NZ? I've looked at posting stuff over but a lot of stuff seems to be restricted! No food/perfume etc

I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I could put in it now!

    Any tips?

Most snack foods should be fine - I occasionally post over chocolate, etc...it's the liquids and perfumes that are restricted, and that's mostly due to international restrictions. You should be fine just sending over some Tayto, Cadburys, small packet of Mr Kipling etc, the typical stuff that Irish people miss when abroad. No drinks though. You might even squeeze in a couple of small selection boxes :)

Tea and Tayto are staples. Selection boxes are usually in there but our local discount store has a load of Cadbury's selection boxes made in Dublin no less this year so I've told my mam not to bother. Media- magazines or newspapers (a weekend edition with overviews of news stories and features) are good. I wish you could send cheese, icecream and pork products!

Hastings in Hawkes Bay...it's Uncle Bills, don't know if it's a chain. They had big and small selection boxes, multipacks of the skinny dairy milks(mmm...), little boxes of dairy milk chunks, eclairs, boxes of roses and milk tray! Also countdown had baileys fudge made by lir in Dublin! Ireland must be setting itself up as a sweets and chocolate exporter...om nom. Now the challenge is to make it last til Christmas... I've had to hide the kids' selection boxes from the oh :D.

Pclancy, there's an Uncle Bill's in Kilbirnie near the ASB arena. After reading this I'm going to take a check there in the next couple of days!

Uncle Bill's in Kilbirnie had Irish Roses, Milk Tray and Curly Wurlies. Couldn't find any selection boxes though.

They're sold out in ours too- only the same stuff left. Luckily I dissuaded my oh from eating them and replacing them!
