Got the contours installed yesterday, electrician did a savage job on them!

So I got my Back box removed and new tips, the noise difference is massive!

Small change! Out with the old faded/cracked repeaters and in with new smoked versions

Sorted the ABS lights in the 525i finally! New(Secondhand) DSC module was required:

Replaced my knackered Drop Links with new OE Lemforder units and new OE Lemforder Top Mounts on the 525, fixed my knocking issue will do the control arms and tie rods in the future.

Only found this thread tonight. The car looks awesome. I like the black grill the head unit transforms the interior.

Only thing I'm not mad about is the square license plate. Other than that great stuff ⭐️

Haven't updated this thread for a while but have done a good bit since!

Replaced my rocker cover with a new second hand one as mine was cracked and fitted a new gasket at the same time. Gave the car a service too with Petronas 5W-30, E39's seem to love it! New NGK Laser plugs which were badly needed too and new Pollen/Air/Oil Filters:

New cover and filters fitted:









Taxed her until end of March, ordered a Thule Fairing for the rack from the US and finally got around to replacing the cheapo chinese badge :pac:





NCT booked for the 7th so hopefully my Lambda issue will be solved with the new rocker cover!

Between now and the last update or two I've replaced:

Inner and Outer Tie Rods
2 New Steering Rack Gaiters
2 Rear Lower Control Arm Bushes
2 New Rear Upper Arms
New Rear Drop Links
Gearbox Oil Changed
Engine Oil Changed
Spark Plugs Changed
Oil/Air/Pollen Filters Changed
Rocker Cover Changed
Rocker Cover Gasket Changed
Bonnet Badge Changed

All sorted, kind of they all work now but fronts cut in every now and again but I'm happy out, first time they've worked since I got the car

This Blue and black cable was unplugged from the sound generator.

An end of an era for me, my first fully owned car. Few photo's of the auld girl I grabbed before she went away today. Wouldn't know a lot of people I call good friends if I didn't own it, plenty of good memories and some, not so good :pac:
