In case anyone is interested :D

In lieu of an expensive autodialler or texter for a home alarm, I had a spare TK102 car GPS/GSM tracking device hooked up to my Menvier 800 panel.

The tracker texts when it sees one of its inputs triggered. I couldn't get it to work when using one of the + or -ve panel outputs, but it did work when the tracker's +ve input was tied to the panel's Bell output. Although it did send 20 SMS texts during a 30 second test of the bells.

Think I will try again with the panel's programmable outputs instead. I probably didn't have the panel programming done right first time around.

Anyone else done similar with a cheap SMS device ?
