If there was no SM there'd be nothing for Baz to quit... So are you gonna quit SM to avoid any more debates to avoid votes to avoid bans to avoid someone quitting...?

Surely you can see what we're getting at?

Whilst we are discussing preposterous scenarios how about this 'off the deep end' counter to your 'off the deep end' statement...

We have 80 votes, and 80 managers quit..... no GW......

2 sides to every coin mate, you may try offer a more balanced view in future than going straight to 'worst case scenario'

But sure, by then its too late. You can't predict who or if someone will quit because of a vote.

We could get into a vote on monitoring again, something most have a strong feeling on. We're all busy discussing it, we've all voted and then Swoody/GT/Wilberto gets in a huff and quits...

Will you retract again!? The horse has bolted, its too late, the same as its too late now. Which I believe is TSCs point.

There's the balanced view you seem to have brushed over.

Unless you abstain from every future vote there is a chance this will happen again, someone quitting.

If you abstain after the fact, like you have done now, you are closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.

Ad hoc ergo propter hoc. After therefore because of. A classic logical fallacy.

No one got banned or quit because the debate took place. If we take that attitude, we may as well shut down the internet. That Baz decided to break the charter within that topic does not mean the topic should not have been discussed, nor does it make you (tupac) Baz's babysitter who has to avoid involvement in anything whereby he might have an interaction wherein he starts abusing other posters.

The debate is not to blame for Baz getting some time off. Baz is. No one forced him to start name-calling, the topic did not call for it, the civilized debate where both sides were putting forward their points did not call for it. That Baz threw his toys from the pram after his ban, and quit the game, was 100% down to Baz, not the topic or the debate at hand. It's illogical to say you'll never get involved in a vote again in case someone starts name calling and gets themselves banned. We're all grown ups here on the forum, and if someone wants to start breaking rules, we don't shut everything down because one person decided to use it as a facility to start getting abusive.

The reason I brushed over it was because I said I was finished on the matter then I seen your 'deep end' post.....

Chance, its a fine thing.... Chance you could die driving home every day so do we abstain from driving? again mate, severe deep end stuff here on your part.......

Anyhow, how and even if I choose to vote if future discussions, may I ask what business of it is yours? I'm a member, if I want vote I can, if I choose to void my vote I also retain that right.... again I ask, what business of yours is my future voting plans?

TSC has summed it up much better than I have but it doesn't seem that you can comprehend it unfortunately.

I'm simply asking a question, you're responding, we're discussing something... On a discussion board of all things.

I'm glad you withdrew your vote, sure I'm for the other side. The fact that you can't see how pointless withdrawing your vote at this stage is amuses me so I thought I'd ask for the reasoning so I could try to understand

    Again, the horse has bolted.

You're reasoning is flawed as TSC has pointed out so you're shutting up shop, and that's fair enough :)

Wow, truly insightful stuff, but you see your folly is that whilst you raise valid points in regards to the legitimacy of Baz's ban (I especially like your thinly veiled 'babysitter' taunt disguised as playful banter) you see its just not relevant as what Baz did in order to get a ban is not the subject matter. It has never been argued on my part so your points to prove he deserved a bad are well, unnecessary...

What had been the subject matter is in fact was my (entitled) reaction to said forth event. Which I would like to once again reiterate I am entitled to. Now instead of telling he how I should have negotiated this event i.e. continuing on my vote why can't you and the mods just accept that I no longer wanted involvement in the issue as it had cost a regular poster. Its your blatant (4th time of saying so) disregard of my explanation that I don't understand, how is it so hard to accept?

Yes the horse may have bolted, but how I choose to react to the situation should not be dictated to me by mods or other members alike, If I am to fall in line with 'said reaction' to 'said event' as laid down by the mods then why bother even having an opinion of my own? Real problem here is that I took a decision that was unexpected and we can't have lads doing that now can we, god knows where we will be if we let members make their own decisions, please NEVER dictate to me how I can react to a situation, either it be a vote or whatever, I'll make that choice, not ye......

Speaking of which, if the sheer amount of clubs that have been vacated as of late and the lack of posting (even account closing) does not clap like thunder in the ear of the mods here then well, hardly needs to be said does it...

Either way, I'll post every now and then but debates like this (which are ultimately self defeating as they have a predetermined outcome, i.e. no movement on either side so to what purpose?) I shall try to avoid.....

But by all means mods, continue with the tanking of each others posts, its quite entertaining actually :D

I'm not getting into a big fight/debate with you but there's only 2 mods here, me and wilberto, if Lord TSC or KERSPLAT! Step out of line they will be punished mods (in other sections) or not, in the same way as if I did it in after hours or football they would sanction me. Secondly your vote in the poll will be discarded if that's what you want, no problem. I've spent literally DAYS (not hours) and money on this game world and if any one thinks I genuinly want too lose players then I think thsts mad! Opinions are great things, they are whst sets us apart from each other but no matter whst my opinion is or how it differs from others i would hope after the last few years people knew that I only want what I think is best for this world!! not just for me, or big clubs, or former players, or current players, or future players, but for the game world as a whole

I'll gladly answer any questions any one has on any matter, from day 1 I've said this world will be ran by us. It shows how much things have picked up that we now have our own mods. Whilst I dont want too keep dragging old news up but if we still had the old system of the cmods I don't think we would be having half this debate, the cmods would have banned felas for comments on the thread and that would be that, if they quit teams then afterwards it would have no affect on the cmods what they citied as the reason for quitting, but as me and. Wilberto are active members it's falling on us
