360 Games Prices

Just something I've noticed this festive period and it could well be nothing, but, is it just me or have games prices for the 360, and particularly the newer releases, held their actual RRP for a lot longer than they did in the previous few years?

i.e. the RRP was always ~€65/£50 but new releases were rarely sold for this price and were more around the €50 mark, especially when bought online, and their price quickly dropped from that in the proceeding months. Whereas the amount of games that are still being sold for the actual RRP of €65 this year seems unusually large.

Or is it just a notion to me.
