Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Markovic deserved that red card. That magic spell he was trying to cast could have killed that player.

Just get Coutinho on and lose three nil.

Wouldn't put it past Rodgers to bring himself on at this stage.

Markovic looks back and clearly thought the defender would be closer to him, he's trying to hold him off.

Surely the second look showed him he wasn't though?

Just saw it again on here...

It kiiiind of looked intentional. He had a look back. It was too much of a swing to be protecting himself. Next to no contact mind you, but you make that kind of movement, you leave yourself open to those decisions.

Why are we crossing the ball into the box trying to pick out Sterling in between two six-foot centre backs?

I agree with that. But, when he found nothing there his hand continued searching backwards. It looked unnatural and the ref fell for the player making a meal of it. Blame squarely on Markovic imo

Madness from Markovic, should be given a chance again soon though, did more in 10 mins than most in the first half.

Rogers has to give some of his signings a chance, Lallana and Can have barely been given a look in but Lovrens been given plenty despite Toure doing well, I can't understand it

    Ah it was very intentional.

Left back for Basel is absolute quality on the ball, so composed in such tight spaces.

Refs are still retarded as usual if that's a red Fellaini and Stoke should getting sent off every week.

He didnt mean to punch him or anything, but he swung his arm back to try and keep the other player away but caught him in the face. Its unfortunate but he caught him in the face. He did swing by the way, ridiculous to say he didnt.

Calling people morons is real classy by the way.

Nonsense, what other way can you put your arm out? Swing implies some sort of forceful dangerous maneuver, he just put his arm back, it wasn't in agression, it at worst rubbed him, anyone at all saying that was a foul, let alone a red card, is completely wrong.

Shot of Rogers there and he's about to shout out instructions to someone but instead just exhales and shakes his head and walks back to his seat

Coutinho on for Gerrard? Nah Allen I suppose.

For all the complaints about the red card.... There was clear intent by the player to strike his opponent. The silly thing was he only caught him with a finger in the eye because Markovic had actually got away from his opponent and didn't need to do it all all considering the pace he has. Had the Basel player been closer it was a slap in the head, the intent was there. There are ways to shield the ball and fend off an opponent in this game, looking back at them and flailing a careless arm in the direction of their head...? Well that is not one of them.

The red card isn't the issue here though. Team selection, personnel and performance are.

That "heroic" 0.0 with a second string team against Real seems to have been really worthwhile now!
Very very average, has been the story of the season!

    Well he should be.

No he shouldn't. I hate this season as much as anyone but sacking Rodgers will not provide the answer.
