Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What is Lambert doing on the pitch

Sterling is far and away Liverpool's best player and he's not even that good.

    Bloody heartbreaking this.

5 years waiting to get back into CL. Thought our worst years were behind us and now this.

Very depressing as we just look so poor and it's something more than form.

Lallana and Coutinho both benched is mind blowing

    This is carnage

They are not even crossing the ball, it's more like a garryowen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,812 ✭✭✭thelad95

    It can't continue like this.

If they lose tonight and are beaten by Utd at the weekend, you'd have to think Rodgers job is on the line.

How is his job not already on the line? He could be gone after tonight.

You'd think it was just us who needed a draw and Basle needed to win by two goals the way this game has gone.

Has Rodgers been asked about Borini missing from the sqaud in interviews ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,502 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

If we do lose this, and I have no doubt now that we will, we simply MUST win the Europa League, because we haven't a hope of a top 4 spot if this sort of ****e continues.

Three times now Gerrard has tried a pass without even looking at hit no one.

Sterling a final ball is embarrassing

I think it's fair to say Gerrard had been useless so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Surely Lalanna and/or Coutinho have to come on in 2nd half. Think Allen may have to make way.

I'd have no problem with that.

He rarely has any kind of options and he's always under pressure. About the only one out there I wouldn't blame right now.

Liverpool are so bad, players are terrible, I think Rodgers days are numbered. All his own doing!

need to be able to score goals to win games....

Sterling being asked to carry this team at 20 is fcking ridiculous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

This is so bad, it honestly could get Rodgers the sack.

He's set us up cluelessly, has stubbornly kept to Lambert up front on his own, and is presiding over a defence that is getting progressively worse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

I wonder what the odds are of Sturridge coming back to a new manager

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

Not a bit of intelligent play in our game.

This game is atrocious so far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

Sure completely disregard the fact that Rodgers lead us to the champions league. This is really poor stuff and not very surprising but he deserves a lot more than a few months to turn it around.

All the rival fans weren't saying they hope he stayed on last year. I still have faith in him but there's a big job there.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

I wonder will there be any boos if this doesn't turn around? I don't think we've really had any of that so far this season but it can't be too far away.

Liverpool make Basel look like Real Madrid tonight

and i dont think im exaggerating

Any chance we'll get a waterlogged pitch with all that rain?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Saddens me to see Rodgers go this way as after last season I thought we had unearthed a gem to guide the club for a long time and build it into something great again.

Some pass there. Pity it was offside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,797 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Gerrard is even worse in the advanced role than in midfield.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Lambert is far too tired, any time he does get a touch he just passes it away anyway

If it stays as is, and United win on Sunday I wouldn't be surprised to see it tbh. The return on investment is nothing short of disgraceful.

"Thats the decision I make when as manager"

Carra recently said that you play your best game when you don't start, if thats the case, Borini is up for the ballon d'or :pac:

Absolute dirt. Another 45 minutes like that and Rodgers might as well empty his desk.

Anyone who thinks Rodgers is going are deluded. First season back in the CL after years. This is a very bumpy patch and it is not enjoyable to watch Liverpool this season, but I can't see these owners getting rid. I don't think they should either.

    In the Europa League.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Seriously, what a sack of ****e. The timidity the lack of movement off the ball, the lack of pressing and pushing up as a team is criminal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,510 ✭✭✭✭noodler

What is Lambert doing on the pitch

    Yeah, we get it.

He is the only available striker as long as Borini keeps tapping the Rodge's missus though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,363 ✭✭✭JohnDaniels

Lambert needs to come off. Offered next to nothing, having him up top as the game wares on will only become more and more detrimental to our play as we become desperate and start lumping it up to him which will play right into Basel's hands.

Writing was on the wall when you bought squad players in the transfer window instead of CL pedigree players.

I think everyone , no matter what team they support was thinking WTF
