Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The ref is doing us favours, shame the linesman didn't get the memo. :(

United having some huge luck lately. When your on a roll your on a roll. That was stone wall so far offside. Literally 1 shot on target before that.

It shows how incredibly Liverpool are now at the moment . It's almost hard to believe how poor we are these days .

I prefer when we beat Liverpool through bad decisions. Wouldn't want it any other way. So much sweeter. Hate nothing more than poxy "no complaints, the better team won" bollocks. No fun in that.

Joe Allen needs to come off, Can on. Perhaps Lambert/Balo for Coutinho as well, we have no presence up front

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,655 ✭✭✭El Inho

    Yep, that and poor goalkeeping.

Jones in no way to blame for either goal.

The replay showed a definite glance off VP's head.

This game isn't difficult to analyse.

United have players who can score, Liverpool don't.

That's about the extent of it.

Playing man u off the park and losing 2 nil

    Final ball shocking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,623 ✭✭✭double GG

A very difficult decision as to wheter RVP did get a touch.

I'm going to take a guess that the ref had a word to the assistant as to if he did or not and therefore the assistant didn't flag.

I counted one Liverpool defender calling for offside, not that that means anything.

A simple look at a video would solve it in 20 seconds.

Feel for the pool fans. They were so happy and full of fun last season.

    Now, sadfaces all round.

    Heartbreaking

Gary Neville: "I missed the offside on 3 replays".

No you didn't, you paused when talking on the first replay as you knew it was offside. Tyler almost reluctantly pointed it out to him.

    Really poor performance from Utd

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,222 ✭✭✭✭Will I Amnt

    Great scoreline, poor performance.
If Sterling was a half decent finisher we would be in trouble.
I'd haul Fellaini and Wilson off for Herrera and Falcao.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,304 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Far from over, Rodgers needs to make changes at HT and go for it. The way things have gone 2-0 is not too comfortable for United.

A United win and Liverpool have a decision to complain about. Everyone's happy

Better team is winning regardless though

He got too excited seeing the ball in the net to act rationally

First the red card against Basel, now the Mata "goal" today.
The football Gods are finally having their revenge on us for Luis Garcia in '05.
Still well worth it obviously, we were never expected to get a result today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Delighted to be 2 up but very unconvincising performance.

Think Wilson needs to come off for Herrera as we need another body in the middle of the park.
Fellaini needs to keep his head with any challenges and surely he can have a better touch of the ball than he has had.

Really need to get another goal to put this game to bed as our defence is still very suspect.

Two terrible performances from both teams united have better finishers whats making the differences

PLayng bad but 2-0 up will take it. Herrera needs to come on for Fellaini.

I don't understand why video technology isn't used for offside incidents like that.

Yes. Disputed goals involving offside should be sorted out with video replays. Not expecting FIFA or UEFA to oblige anytime soon though.

    Agree 100%

Fellaini off, him on a yellow worries me.. Then again rooney and Jones on a yellow worries me too

A defensive set up is not one of them, in 38 years this has to be the absolute worse Liverpool team I have had the "pleasure" of supporting. Please end it now.

Not quite as impactful when posted in the match thread rather than the Liverpool thread unfortunately! Still solid effort nonetheless.

    What a dummy from RvP.
Antonio Valencia leaving the pool lb for dead has me semi erect. Final score remaining the same as is would have me nursing a throbbing truncheon

Jesus, lots of posters with remarkable vision here giving the linesman stick. That touch from Van Persie wasn't easy to spot. Ball barely deviated from it's path.

Nah, it's only revenge for the corner kick Ashley Young should have had minutes earlier. ;)
