1-1 HT 1-2 FT Liverpool to get a dodgy pen to win it and Gerrard to one-up previous encounters and full on fornicate with the camera after scoring the winner.

I just hope all the players enjoy the game and the ref doesn't turn out to be the MOTM for one side.

With a win today it'll only be 10 for United :(

Falling just short of justice and tides turning would probably be annoying but maybe next week...

Brad Jones in goal apparently - we have a chance :)

Only way I see Liverpool getting anything gtom this is if
    A. UTD go with 3-5-2
    B. UTD have a man sent off.

Even if either of the above scenarios come to light I'd still have very little confidence in Liverpool getting anything.

I do think Utd should have enough to win, especially with Liverpools form of late but I don't know where some Utd fans are getting the large score lines from. Utd haven't really hammered anyone this season and they have played far worse teams than Liverpool.

If Utd play 5 at the back( I don't see it today ) then the game will be even tighter and I wouldn't be so confident of a Utd victory.

Tis gas to see the slagging though and the football hypocrisy of it. Utd fans giving out about Liverpool fans sticking the boot in when things weren't going well and the faux outrage of it and now they are getting ahead of themselves like giddy kids before a ball has been kicked.

    You gotta love football.

Nervous excitement. Hurry on and start ffs.

We really should win comfortable enough against this liverpool side. They are lacking in confidence, have no goals in the team and are dodgy at the back. If United go with a back 4 I'd be very confident of a 3-1 win but id take any type of a win.
Big 3 points up for grabs and I hope our lads seize the opportunity.

    C'mon United.

Looks like a diamond for United with Mata in CM. Very attack minded.

Not happy with Jones being thrust into the action. Wilson is an interesting choice. Didnt think he was good in recent showings.

Sterling up top. Fantastic. All United's shakey defence need is that.

For the amount of money both sides have spent, those starting line-ups are so average.

What's happened rojo? Not even on the bench. Massive task for jones today after being out for a few months.

Very attacking United line up anyway but disappointed Herrera isn't starting again. Wilsons pace could trouble the liverpool backline a lot though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Really happy with that Liverpool front four actually. Lots of movement from Coutinho Sterling and Lallana should trouble United's defence and free up a bit of space for Gerrard.

    No Lucas
    No Toure
    Sterling up top

Might watch this from the shed

None of United's summer signings are in the starting 11.

Questions marks over Mignolet fair enough but as a United fan I'm delighted to see Brad Jones in goal.

Worry for our point of view is that we have two center backs who have been out for months coming back into the side all be it Evans played most of the Southampton game.

I think it's set up to be a cracker of a game though looking forward to this one.

I had my fun last year. It was truly tremendous, but was only ever going to last so long as Ferguson's farcical appointment was in charge unfortunately.

Liverpool lineup is a joke. No proper striker or keeper.

Liverpool fans have been complaining about their strikers for weeks. Rodgers has changed that, some still complain :pac: Sterling up top will give them movement and pace, two of the many things United's backline have struggled to deal with.

Been looking forward to this since Moyes left. Have had a gut feeling since the beginning of the season that United would win this comprehensively. I'm going to go mad and say 4-1.

    Getting nervy though.

    Does he even know himself?

This is going to be a massacre and Bredan is digging his own grave with that team selection.

Jaysus... i'm as big a Brendan defender as there is but this team selection is bonkers. Dropping our best two players of the last month. Madness.

I think it's been evident for a while now Brendan has no defenders.

Jones would be shakey over a run of games but could well have the head right for one big game.... Theres defo clangers in Mig.... Jones' mental strength could be big today.

Regarding no striker, Lambert and Bal fall into the easy to mark category, how will utd deal with sterling, lallana, coutinho & Gerrard all attacking with no focal point ?

No one has a crystal ball but the utd defence are well worth trying this against imo :)
