Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've read that Manning has the flu but played anyway. Requires an IV. Seems strange.

Underwhelmed by Osweiler. Any time he has gotten a chance he looks like garbage. He's been in the league for three years now, and has had time to sit and learn but he looks clueless. God help us if Manning doesn't come back out.

Manning is back out anyway. Seems he needed both an IV (for flu or whatever) and has a bit of thigh injury too.

i understand megatrons coming back from injury but how do you target him so few times even with golden tate in the form he's in surly you give calvin your first or at least second read

Big missed fg for the Chargers. That's 2 now. Can't afford to miss any chances against any manning team even if he has the flu.

Eric Wright tweet on the Eric Reid penalty earlier...

Maaaaann @nfl get entirely the **** up outta here with this bull!!! If that receiver curl up like a lil bxxxh then what u want the DB to do?

Looks like the Broncos gave them a loan of McManus.

Broncos need to put together a scoring drive here because it doesn't look like they can stop the Chargers scoring another TD before the end of the game.

Major homer call in the Seahawks game there... is Hochuli's crew doing that one?

EDIT: Even the commentators not mincing words about it... "terrible call" -- "yeah, terrible call."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,434 ✭✭✭Jolly Red Giant

That FG might just be enough.

That's some bull**** call. The second one of the game. The 13th man.

there will be some picture from that play id say looked like lynch on his own taking on the entire san fran defence

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,403 ✭✭✭spiritcrusher

Hochuli has fcuked the Niners up royally. His gang are a disaster for throwing soft flags.

THROW THE BALL TO CALVIN JOHNSON good god lions its almost like you dont have an all time great reciever playing for ye

Pick from Talib might just do it in San Diego. What a fractious game. A real struggle from both teams. Delighted if we get out of here with a win.

Soft flags, crazy homerism (for high profile teams, mainly) and an absolutely infuriating resistance to ever overturn any of their own calls on review - especially automatic review - no matter how obvious.

It was always going to be like that - Broncos win the div and a 1st round bye with the win.

It's not over yet - but hopefully the defence can force Rivers to eat the clock.

Really thought the Vikings should have gone for the FG there, to be honest. Lions defence is just too good to risk 4th and 4 with that offence, vs. a 58 yarder with Blair Walsh.

dont all reviews get reviewed in new york now?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,052 ✭✭✭poldebruin

dont all reviews get reviewed in new york now?

I think they just cue up the best camera angles for the ref on the field. In the long term I believe they want to move the actual review itself to the NY office.

Actually now that you mention it, I think they do... not 100% definite if it is only for certain ones though. But they just never seem to get overturned, no matter how blatant, when it comes to Hochuli. :D

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10670707/nfl-owners-allow-centralized-system-aid-instant-replay

...from the article...."Referees will have the ability to consult with the league's Officiating Command Center in New York as they view replays at game sites. Referees still will make the final calls on plays"

Another Rivers interception avoids the (almost weekly occurrence for Denver it seems!) dreaded onside kick recovery to preserve a win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,434 ✭✭✭Jolly Red Giant

Yes yes yes - the bend but don't break defence comes up trumps.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,052 ✭✭✭poldebruin

Detroit will kick themselves to lose this at home after watching GB lose earlier in the day. Could see them slip from 1 seed in the NFC to 5th seed!

....not to worry. Minnesota have ruined their own chances! Terrible clock management

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,052 ✭✭✭poldebruin

....why not back yourself up an additional 5 yards too for delay of game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,052 ✭✭✭poldebruin

Blair Walsh to try a 68 yarder indoors maybe?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,052 ✭✭✭poldebruin

Just missed. Interesting to see if it had the distance. Typical...turn down a 58 yarder to leave yourself a 68 yarder a few minutes later.

One word comes to mind; Phew!!

Ha! Crazy last play in the jets game. Delanie Walker should have pitched it inside again. Why bother let yourself get run out of bounds.

I wonder if it was deliberate, why lose draft position in a nothing game.

Jeremy Mincey is absolutely gas! :D

I wonder if it was deliberate, why lose draft position in a nothing game.

The current players and coaches have everything to play for - winning games is what keeps them in a job so I doubt it was a conscious decision to throw the game, in order to get better draft picks. When said draft picks could put any of the current roster out of a job and when loosing games isn't going to help any member of a coaching staff to retain they're job long enough to get to the next draft.

Besides - you see it regularly enough on those sort of plays even when the games are more important, guys getting tackled or running out of bounds rather than just throwing the ball up for grabs. I suppose it's just not a natural instinct for any NFL player to pitch a ball when they're feeling pressure or something.

Ohh for **** sake - I have never seen anything like that before

The longest onside kick recovery ever

Crazy play to start the game. I wonder why more teams don't try to pop it up and let the cover team try to get under it more often.

Hopefully Dallas can jump out and keep the game more competitive than the last meeting.

Dallas look really on it tonight. Important for the Eagles to hold them to 3 here. Mark Sanchez and a 14 point deficit is a dangerous situation.
