Hey guys im Looking for starter ideas to serve four, Ive been staring at menus ideas for ages and cant decide. The Main will be venison with red cabbage and served with a Barolo Fossati 2006. Desert will be Chocolate coconut banoffee pie. So fairly rich looking for a light starter that would complement the dishes. Tanks…

Maybe some sort of cured meat - carpaccio of beef, parma or serrano ham ?

A quails egg served on slice of black pudding and little piece of crispy bacon ?

Make a nice ballotine, say with rabbit, Serve a slice of that with some garnish ?

Check out this thread in The Cooking Club where all the Recipies are broken out into Starters, Mains, etc...

It can be difficult for posters here to recommend a dish for you when you don't mention your likes/dislikes, skill level, budget, etc. Best to select a starter yourself tbh.
