I have to pick up tickets from the Aviva Ticketmaster Box Office.

Not great info about it on the bloody website...is it at corner Lansdowne and Northumberland Road (WTF?) - what's it look like - a caravan or something?

The safety notice on mcd's website states that:

TICKETMASTER BOX OFFICE Open from 2pm - locations will be as follows:
1: THE FOYER OF THE BALLSBRIDGE HOTEL, PEMBROKE, BALLSBRIDGE, DUBLIN.
2: TICKETMASTER VAN ON NEWBRIDGE AVENUE (OPPOSITE MARIAN COLLEGE)

They'll definitely take at least the lid off the bottle.

I'll try Newbridge Ave first...they don't make things too easy..

Thanks for pointing that out as I would have been nowhere near it with the original location.

Will there be an inner pitch circle this time? By the looks of the photo there's no inner circle, which would be good as that means you can get that bit closer...

Going by the picture above, you can see the footprint of the walkway. It's yet to be constructed.

So they just take the lid off, they don't smell. It's only a weee whiskey and coke to get the vibe going..

I had the same problem with those food pictures on Monday evening and couln't get the Ticketmaster booking page to work properly! I thought it was just me. But by yesterday morning/Tuesday they had gone back to the old letter security system, and lo and behold I was finally able to byy a PITCH ticket for AC/DC - horray!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah it seems there's a few available on TB but for some reason since they moved to those foodie picture captchas they don't work on my computer!! Anyone else having this problem with Ticketb*rd captchas?

Got my ticket on Done Deal so all happy now regardless ;)

Any idea what time they take to the stage tomorrow?

What's the difference between Premium and normal. I snapped up cheap premium tickets yesterday but don't want to be surrounded by snobs who will just stay sitting down!

Premium level is just the better seats in the stand. More room, smaller bar queues, padded seats.

As for your earlier question about getting into another area, if it's anything like normal events at the Aviva you have no hope. Turnstiles are electronic so no way to blag your way into the wrong one.

Padded seats and faster bar ...sounds good.

Not worried about getting on the pitch now we have seats closer to the action.

My seats are in the Corporate Level - is that much the same as Premium does anyone know?

Can you bring in small backpacks with a 'coke' bottle? Will security take any drinks?

It says in the safety notice that:

"STRICT SECURITY CHECKS ARE IN OPERATION. PATRONS ARE ADVISED NOT TO BRING BACK-PACKS".

but it doesn't list back packs in the list of items not permitted:

"THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED: UMBRELLAS, FLASHLIGHTS, GLASS OR CANS, FOOD, ALCOHOL, GARDEN FURNITURE, SELFIE STICKS. NO PROFESSIONAL CAMERAS OR CAMERAS WITH A DETACHABLE LENS, VIDEO CAMERAS & AUDIO RECORDING DEVICES".

Read this on the Irish Weather App "some showers may break out and there may be some thundery ones"

What are the odds one breaks out during Thunderstruck?

Unless it was only put up today, it doesn't look like there is a pit

All day queues are only for those going for the front rows usually.

At Bruce I was in the pit having turned up about an hour after the gates opened, beside people with '#8' and '#34' and stuff on their hand, which were the numbers marking their spot in the queue they'd been in overnight the night before. Mental.

@noelmchale from MCD confirmed earlier on Twitter that there was a pit on a first-come-first-served basis

It pis*ed down with rain at Punchestown on 2009 and if anything it added to the excitement of the fantatic gig. The memory of Angus in the rain was on everybodys top moments of the gig https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77MQceQXNh4
