Hi, The locking mechanism on the front door failed this morning - composite uPVC door and the latch is not springing out far enough to engage the strike plate. The dead bolt locking system works and the latch will engage then (pushing handle up) but you can open the door from the outside which is obviously a problem.. any…

Hi,

The locking mechanism on the front door failed this morning - composite uPVC door and the latch is not springing out far enough to engage the strike plate.

I've tried taking the latch off and no obvious signs of sticking, etc..

It is a 'Roto' lock.
